My five-year old was using my old college mattress (itself a floor model) and it needed to be replaced. I needed something to last him another 5-10 years, until he could get another twin XL – this mattress fit the bill.
Our mattress is a hybrid, but premium, with layers between the springs and memory foam. This is *technically* a hybrid, but I would consider it a spring mattress. It does have significant give – it’s very soft. It is also very bouncing. While roughhousing, I dropped my son the bed and he bounced a good 8-9 inches back up! He loves it!
One night, my wife or I will take a turn sleeping on it. This is acceptable a kid’s bedroom. Maybe a guest room if on a budget.

Ordered the twin 8 inch the best bed I’ve had and I had expensive ones in the hundreds of dollars perfect firmness amazing how it pops open would recommend it to everybody sleep quality is perfect height is perfect no sinking no heat retention stays nice and cool and the functionality of this product is amazing

Oh my goodness! I am so pleased with this mattress! I got it early, which was nice. It was delivered by UPS,and I am grateful that they were good enough to bring it to the top step outside my front door. It was raining, but it was well packaged. I got it upstairs ( no easy fete, as I’m 5 ft 2 and am slightly older- don’t ask! 😉 ) I noticed on the outside of the box that the mattress should be unpacked within 72 hours ( for proper inflation, I think? ) I’d bought a twin in this brand before, but hadn’t noticed that piece of information. The twin, BTW, was also a great purchase. Some reviews aren’t as favorable as mine, and I wonder if that piece of unpacking info might be a factor. It’s a good idea, regardless.
In any event, this mattress will be left for proper and full inflation before I put it on the bed (that’s due, tomorrow.) Hopefully that will be reviewed as favorably as this mattress.
This mattress is just the right firmness and is soft to the touch. It is a very nice product, and I am so glad I bought it. I definitely recommend it! ( make sure you pay attention to that 72 hour caveat, though. I don’t think they would include it if it didn’t matter. ) The funny little warning advisory was appreciated, too. ” Hand this to the responsible one… It knows Kung Fu.” I have quick reflexes, as well, so… 😉 The price point was excellent, too. Very much appreciated! UPDATE: I’ve had this for a bit and unfortunately, my initial enthusiasm has lessened. Still a nice enough mattress, but has minimal side support. I’m going to put it in my second bedroom on the bed I also got from Amazon ( too masculine ) and have ordered a fuller and hopefully a firmer mattress. This was a 10 inch, and that was my mistake. In order to get the height, I ended up buying a 3 inch memory foam and two ( supposedly ) 4 inch mattress toppers. All in, they might equal the 12 inch that I finally ordered. Zinus is a good product, but if you want better side supports and a taller mattress, order one from the start. It turned out to be an expensive lesson.

After downsizing from a queen to a full, and just trimming my 20 year old ikea foam mattress to fit the full bed to go the cheap route…I had been hemming and hawing getting a new mattress even though i was sleeping horribly the past year and a half. Waking up and having to turn over many times in the night due to hip pain…even with a memory foam topper added. My niece told me about this brand and had gotten a few mattresses over the past 6 years from them. I got a little extra bonus before xmas and this was the top thing I knew I needed to finally get. IM SO HAPPY I DID!!! It came 3 days early (and 2 days before xmas yey!) Although it was a bit heavy…I got it out of the box and took it step by step up to my room with some help from my 79 yr old mom lol Unrolling it was simple and I was sleeping on it 6 hours later. I’m someone who loves sleeping on soft cloud-like things like a memory foam beanbag or a super cozy couch…but this is just right in support and has enough softness for me. I was skeptical when ordering because of the springs but I have no complaints at all. It didn’t have any odor at all and I actually look forward to going to bed now because my body doesn’t wake me up to turn over. I am so so so thankful i ordered this. So very happy with it. Wish I had just gotten one 5 years ago or so. My next mattress will most definitely be a Zinus again!!

Delivery team was courteous, respectful, and prompt. Installation wasn’t that difficult. We got the 10 inch for our Murphy bed and added a 2 inch cooling topper and it fits perfectly! Even without the topper, the bed is surprisingly comfortable. Guests have stated that it feels plush, but not too plush yet. Still firm enough to support back shoulder and neck issues. Highly recommend.

I purchased this mattress for my 4 year old daughter. She really needed a new one!
Pros:
1. It came packaged extremely well! Almost vacuumed sealed, in a way. Be careful when you’re opening the packaging, and ensure all young children and pets are not nearby, as it unravels with some force. Even I had to move back a bit!
2. It’s comfortable, and slightly buoyant. It’s extremely attractive as well. I almost fell asleep on my baby girl’s bed!!
3. My daughter will undoubtedly be able to grow into this bed. I can tell it was made to last. She can have this mattress for years to come!
4. The price is pretty good, for what it is!
Cons:
1. Shipping. I requested for this mattress to be delivered to me the day after I ordered it, since I’m a Prime member. That did not happen. Puralator gave SO many issues. Claiming they tried to deliver when they definitely didn’t. I ended up having to pick it up at a local Puralator Depot, 3 days after it was supposed to be delivered. Extremely inconvenient. I had to take a Uber there, and a taxi back, since it comes in a pretty big and long box. Puralator has long since been known for horrendous service. So, I’m not saying everyone will have this experience. I live in a building, if that helps anyone. I know it’s the Holiday Season but if I chose a package to be delivered the day after, it should be!! Amazon compensated me for my troubles.
2. The mattress does have a strong smell. Not a disgusting smell, but a prominent NEW smell. I’d be good to let it air out for a while, in the bedroom with an open window. My fiance loved the smell. He said this is what a new mattress should smell like. I laughed, but since it’s for our 4 year old, we decided to let it air out a bit.
All in all, I truly love this mattress for my daughter. Her eyes lit up when she saw it. She knew she was getting a new bed, so she was definitely anticipating it, but when I walked through the door with the box, and when she saw the actual mattress with her own eyes, I felt so happy to see she was happy! We won’t have to worry about getting her a new bed for YEARS now, which is awesome. I recommend this bed for anyone that has children (4-5 years and up, I would say), single people, students/professionals, etc. If you’re thinking about getting this bed for you and your partner, I’d wish against that. The bed is good for maybe 2 kids at a time, or just 1 adult. But two adults at a time would be very uncomfortable and cramped. I wish you all enjoy your new purchase!
