I’ve had this mattress for nearly a year. It’s an excellent mattress for the price, with a much better, more consistently flat surface than the Zinus medium firm, which is firm-ish around the perimeter and squishier in the middle. The medium firm one develops permanent shallow craters over time, but this Zinus Support Plus has provided unchanged support over 11 months of daily use. It is much better for my back. I can add a topper when I want the support but with a more cushy feel.

Short version: My wife and I have had this mattress for over a year now and can say with confidence that it was an excellent purchase- it is still firm and has no sags or dips. I highly recommend it.
I have held off on writing a review for this mattress because I felt it was necessary to sleep on it for an extended period of time to give it the most fair and accurate review. My wife and I purchased this mattress over a year ago, in November 2017.
After going to all the local stores, from big box to mom and pop, my wife and I found ourselves with a problem: we could tell which mattresses were soft and which were firm, but aside from that we didn’t really feel much difference apart from the price tag- almost all of which exceeded a thousand dollars, with some approaching two grand. That’s quite an outlay of cash.
So, going off reviews on Amazon we took the leap on this Zinus Extra Firm iCoil 12 inch king mattress. We also purchased a steel foundation upon which to set the mattress in our bed frame. The box arrived a little beat up, but my wife and I muscled it into the house and carried it upstairs together. It’s a two person job, but not impossible. We set the rolled up mattress on our guest bed and carefully cut away the plastic so the bed would unroll. (Pro tip: Don’t stand between the mattress and the wall. You might get pinched) We followed the directions and let the mattress sit undisturbed for 2 or 3 days so it could fully expand. After which time, we moved it into our bedroom.
It’s now more than one year on and I feel qualified to report on the mattress. It is firm, but not rock hard. This is obviously subjective, so all I can say is that you know a firm mattress when you lay on one, and this is a firm mattress but is still comfortable. I’m a side and stomach sleeper, and my wife is a back sleeper. I’m 5’11”, 230lbs, and we’ll just say that my wife is plus sized and leave it at that. The mattress supports both of us fine, and a year later has no depressions, dips, sags or problem areas. The last time I did laundry I snapped some photos of the mattress which I have posted above. You’ll notice the mattress is still even and flat, even after a year of nightly use.
I purchased this mattress myself, with my own money, have no relationship with the manufacturer, and am receiving nothing in return for writing this review. I just know how difficult it is take the leap of purchasing something like this over the internet, so I thought I’d write a review to help people in a similar situation my wife and I found ourselves in last year.
This mattress was an excellent purchase, I’ve recommended it to friends, and if you’re in the market for a fairly priced firm mattress, I can recommend it to you as well. Cheers.

The mattress arrived in a compact, heavy box. Needed 2 people to carry. It unboxed and decompressed quickly. After 24 hours of airing, it was almost at its full 12″ height. As a big guy with back issues, I found it firm yet comfortable, thanks to the euro pillowtop. Excellent bed for the price. Highly recommend!

Comes packed in a box and expands to full size for me in 5 minutes. Didn’t take more than 5 minutes to be ready to sleep on. I was scared it might take half a day. no such issue. I had a car accident 20 years ago and my back is wrecked. This and an ergonomic way too expensive fancy desk chair fixed it.
This mattress is crazy firm. Personally i had to buy a 2 inch foam topper after the first night because as a side sleeper it hurts your shoulder. Evne with the topper it’s still firm but very comfortable and supporting. I’m the type of person that lays on a mattress and 3 to 5 minutes i can easily tell if it’s gonna hurt my back because my back is super sensitive if it’s not gettin g supported. i’ve had this matress for almost 1 year and it’s still firm as hell and the only thing excacerbating my back is when i slouch in my office chair. Not a bad nights sleep. I’d buy again. For the price a very good choice by me. One thing i will say it’s it’s not quite 10 inches. It’s more like 8.5 to 9 inches. I also had no foul smell when i opened the mattress.

This mattress is value for money. I was nervous opening it as I have never bought a mattress in a box. I was also worried that it contained CFCs or would off-gas and maybe contain something toxic; but the mattress expanded fully without any issues and I have been using it for about a month. Nice and firm and I sleep right through the night with it; which is why i bought it! The closest comparable mattress is sold by The Brick in Canada, for about $575 including a box spring; or a $299 new mattress and $165 box spring from Salvation Army. Though i didn’t want to give Jeff Bezos yet more money, as he has already collected (I would not say earned) more than $78 billion dollars extra during the plandemic, nor the CCP (yes, like everything else the mattress is made in China) I felt there was little option based on value for money.

This mattress is far superior to others I have tried! It is supportive and firm! It is very comfortable and I wake up with no aches and pains! I have two queen size and this double size! We love them! The company is great and delivers what it says it will! Best mattresses we have ever had!
It popped up full size as soon as we opened it, no problem!
If you are looking for a great mattress, then look no further because this is it and you won’t be disappointed!

We finally pulled the plug on our waterbed. We’d gotten used to sleeping on it, and it was comfortable, but really heavy. We had purchased a 12″ mattress for our summer cabin, but I found it a bit difficult to sit on the edge of the bed, so I opted for the 10″ one for home. The delivery came faster than expected which was great. We were also more experienced at unpackaging the mattress, which can explode out of the wrapping if you’re not careful. You need to watch where you’re standing when the mattress comes loose.
We opted to put the new mattress onto an older box spring and frame, although you can also put this mattress onto a platform. We still had the other underpinnings from the waterbed, and our headboard can be attached to that frame, so we went with that set-up.
The bed is actually still a little high, but manageable. The dog absolutely loves this mattress. I thought she’d miss the waterbed, but she’s been staying in bed until past noon some days. I am sleeping well on it, and it’s also easier to sit up and read at night. My husband thinks it might be too firm.
We unrolled the mattress in the morning, and I slept on it that night, with no trouble. I’d have preferred to give it another day to inflate, but I don’t think it really matters in the end. It will continue to inflate, whether or not there are sheets on it.
This is a good value regularly, and Black Friday made it even sweeter. I bought a couple of nice pillows (also inflatable) with the savings.

This is my second review of this bed as the first one seems to have been taken down. If you’re looking for a bed that will only lasts you 6 weeks then this bed is for you. Tried dealing with Amazon for return they would not help…contacted the company they would nothing to rectify the matter. Buyer be ware. In 6 weeks the mattresse compressed by 2 inches and would not re-inflare a huge hard hump was in the middle of bed…multiple photos and measurements were taken and sent to the company…multiple emails sent regarding the issue…and still nothing has been done. Spend you hard earned dollars else where
