This is an amazing bed I purchased for my son on a Black Friday deal. He is 6’ average build and this bed is amazing for him! If I didn’t have a mattress already I would gladly purchase one for myself! The top is side and the bed is firm without being hard like a rock! If you like soft but not too soft and firm without breaking your bones,, I highly recommend this bed! Sheet fit perfectly and there’s no need for deep pocket ones either. Great buy!

Cheap mattress and comfortable

I’ve been looking for a nicely priced hybrid mattress that’s on the firmer side for a while now and I came across this one after I saw a video review of the person not sinking into the mattress. I was skeptical about buying a mattress in a box let alone online because I’ve never done either before, but the mattress was very clean, comfortable (had to test it out lol), and expanded well upon initial cutting of the outer casing and after cutting the other layers it expanded to 11 inches immediately. I’m waiting to see if I’ll get the other 2 inches over the next 3 days. I’ve seen other reviews stating that theirs did not get to 13in which is not necessarily a deal breaker for me as I’m primarily concerned about comfort and durability, but I will give it 72 hours in a warm room as they recommend and I will give an update.
Update: The mattress did not inflate to 13 inches, (more like 12) but I’m sleeping wonderfully, so I’m satisfied.

I am amazed at the comfort, no boxspring. I have to go on a pine wood. Bed frame is perfect. You couldn’t buy any better quality for such an excellent price.

We bought 3 of these for our home and these are fantastic. Super heavy and the boxes arrived damaged, but the mattresses are all wrapped really well and no damage to any of them. Once I cut them open I braced myself for an awful smell, but there was none. I waited the 3 days to use and am very happy with the quality, comfort and no smell. Go ahead and enjoy your purchase! Function/ comfort: I have used this mattress for about six months now. At this point, I am literally sleeping in a hole in the middle of the mattress and it continues to rapidly deteriorate. In just the past couple weeks, I went to no longer using a pillow because I sink so far down inside the mattress, I just use the edge of the hole I am sleeping in as a “pillow.” To turn over in the night, I have to do a pushup to push myself out of the hole to turn over. Hard to imagine, but this Zinus mattress is worse than sleeping on the floor.
I wondered if there is a warranty for this portable sinkhole, so I called Zinus. The first several times, it really appeared they simply refuse to take calls by using an AI phone tree that denies all calls. But after calling multiple times, I realized it’s just a terrible quality system (could this be a pattern?) Pro tip: the phone tree asks if you purchased from Amazon- if you say yes, they immediately hang up on you. I call back and said I just want to talk about mattresses, and the robot says “Sorry, I can’t help you with that” and again immediately hung up, etc. So, after saying, “Buy a mattress” repeatedly, I finally reached a person to inquire about the warranty:
The Bottom Line: The decision to issue a replacement mattress will be made by sending Zinus a picture of the mattress taken with no sheet or object on the bed. If an observable 1.5 inch sag can be noted, then they will issue a replacement, which takes a week. (Note: They pointedly have no interest in my actual experience with the bed, and or any pictures of me actually in the quicksand mattress of death.) However, Zinus has no pickup service for the old mattress, so the responsibility to dispose of the giant CalKing- sized piece of used bubble gum is mine. So, while the prospect of getting a replacement terrible-quality mattress from Zinus and the joy of watching their delivery workers simply walk away from my current La Brea Tar Pit-style mattress because “they don’t do that” is tempting…
In closing, I shared my unique view with Zinus customer service that if a company saddles a customer with a (unwieldy, impossible to carry) lemon, they should recognize the significant imposition on that customer and take steps to make it right. Zinus thanked me for this new, deep insight that I provided to them and promised that they would consider it, so that perhaps in the future some other person who absolutely wastes their money on a Zinus product will no longer be burdened with how to dispose of said item. I’ve owned two of these mattresses and they are so comfortable. In 2020 I bought a queen size and loved it so much i upgraded to the king in 2021 and am still sleeping on it. It’s the perfect combination of firm but squishy, it molds to your body when you lay on it but you still feel supported. It had a good bit of bounce so turning over doesn’t feel like you’re laying on the ground. If you look up a mattress fitness chart, i’d say it’s right in between a soft/medium, I had a sleepys plush before this and this is firmer than that but much more comfortable. Like I said i’ve had this mattress since 2021 and it’s still like brand new. No sags at all and it’s super easy to spot clean but keep a protector on it. We moved it across the country buy putting it in a vacuum bag and rolling it like how it shipped, and then we kept it in a garage for 6 months and when we opened it, good as new!
