This little lamp packs a big punch! I use the brighter settings early in the day, and the dimmer settings in the afternoon/evening to help maintain a healthy sleep schedule. When my lamp stopped working properly (difficult to turn on), Verilux customer service was very responsive, and resolved the issue quickly and easily.

I bought this product back in 2022 and have used it almost daily since. Over time the cord got pinched in such a way that it stopped working. I reached out to Verilux for a new cord and they replaced the whole unit.
I just want to say that this is a great product that has helped me over the last few winters and that I was impressed with the above and beyond customer service.

I’ve been using another lamp from a different company for years now but wanted to try this one as well. I’ve been using it for several days now and can confirm positive results. What I like:
-The unit feels robust and everything feels high quality.
-The LED light is perfectly uniform and reveals little to no flickering when I point my camera at it unlike my first SAD lamp.
-Choice of 3 tints from white – warm – warmest is an excellent option.
-Touch controls work well. Love the timer feature that uses LED lights to show much time is left
-Solid stand. One reason I chose this is the other lamps have flimsy looking stands. The only disadvantage is this one is fixed and cannot be adjusted or removed
-Completely silent. My first lamp has a hissing sound.
-3 year warranty, giving me peace of mind that I can use this for hours on end.
-The lamp is just as bright as my other one that is rated at 10,000 lux at 7 inches. The manual says this lamp is rated at 10,000 lux at 6 inches perhaps because of the smaller light area. I prop the lamp on a box and keep it close to my face to achieve this (see picture). But remember, you can keep the lamp further if desired, but you just need to have longer sessions to get the same therapeutic effects.
-The benefits I’ve noticed is that I am more alert and don’t easily get sleepy during the day. I also get tired early at night, making it easy to go to bed early, stay asleep, and wake up early. I also notice a better mood overall. When I wake up in the morning and have adjusted to normal indoor light, I then use this lamp at the lowest setting and slowly increase every minute or so until at max brightness. I use the lamp for 1-3 hours in the morning and don’t use it past 2pm. My sleep has been amazing also because I don’t spend my evenings on a screen anymore but go to sleep early after reading a book.

I ‘ve been using this lamp for several month now, and i’m happy with it, because i noted that it boost my mood and improves sleep. In winter i’m affected by the short light hours and tend to get moody in the afternoons. It’s also, very easy to use.

I love the different warmth and brightness settings. This lamp also works great for taking photos since it mimics natural light!
I did have an issue with the charger breaking after several months of use. But I emailed the company and a replacement is on it’s way!

When I realized that I was always tired and felt a little depressed around the same time every evening, my doctor suggested I try light therapy. She recommended Verliux and after comparing the different models, I chose this small HappyLight Alba. The price was great and I liked the fact that you can adjust the brightness, the color of the light as well as set a timer so you are sure to spend enough time in front of it to feel the benefits. It’s compact and has a sturdy base so it sits right next to my laptop on my desk. Since it doesn’t take up much room its easy to keep close to me and remember to use it daily. I noticed the difference in my energy level and quality of sleep in the first week; my mood improved by the 2nd week. I feel the benefits even if I use it only 3-4 times per week. I’ve very happy with this purchase.

I had this light for years in my office and it worked wonderfully. Really made a difference as I live in the PNW so greatly affected my SAD. I recently had to move offices and in the process I wound up smashing the end of the cord and the piece that connected to the light broke off. I tried to order a replacement cord and the company didn’t have any but said if I took a picture of the damage and proof of purchase, they would ship me a brand new light. I already threw the cord away because it was broken but they replaced the product anyway. I’ve never had customer service go so far above and beyond before.

The light works great and does the job, and I like that it’s very compact, and has multiple color temperatures.
I wish it supported USB-C PD so I could use it with any USB power brick. Why include a USB-C charger if the light is not capable of being powered by generic chargers? I see that it runs on 20V 0.8A, so it would be easy enough to charge a few dollars more and support PD, which would make it possible to carry this around with a battery pack, as well as use generic chargers if the OEM one breaks or gets lost.

I have never used one of these lights.This is small compared to a lot that is offered which appealed to me. I like the ease of use and the options you have in setting it up to use. You have 4 light strengths and 4 colour shades of light to choose from. How effective less light would be I have no idea. It is bright, but you can start out with a lower setting for light intensity and time and work up to what you need. The booklet is clear in directions and use. Heed the warnings if you have any issues.
I bought this in November with skepticism it’d would help, HOWEVER I have found it has helped me through the darker period of winter so far, and I am less dragged down by the grey weather on the coast. Also my sleep has improved incredibly which was a huge surprise for me.
I would recommend it, but you have to know it takes awhile – a month or 2 before you may feel some effects.

I’ve been using the lamp for two years, and suddenly it stopped working. I contacted the support, thinking it was a one year garantee only, and actually it was 3! So they send a replacement, that I received the next day. I’m in Canada and days are short with a lot of snow at the moment. This light really helps, 30 minutes every morning improve my mood.

If you love having the attributes of beauty, function, efficacy and health in the material goods of your life, then I can not recommend the Alba Happy Light enough. I wanted to feel like:
I was sitting outside on a very sunny day (but not like on a beach with blazing sun)
feel the health benefits of that exposure in uplift in mood and functioning
not add more bulky apparatuses to my work space or relaxation space
have everything I put in my living spaces add beauty and look elegant….
and the Alba Happy Light delivered! I would put one in every room if I could afford it. It is a beautiful round shape, elegant and fairly small. It brightens the room, and makes the space feel cheery even on a dark and cloudy day. In fact, you will be “singing in the rain” (singing on a rainy day). I clearly feel better at the end of a work day when I have to work inside all day by having it around me. And it is easy to move around – so lightweight – you can just move it from room to room with you. I love this product. You do need to be mindful about the charger attachment as when I wasn’t careful it bent when I let the lamp fall. However, the customer service is as excellent as the light itself! They resupplied me with a whole unit! I have also loved some of the other verilux lamps – yet the Alba is the queen for me! It will bring happiness to your office or home!
