I’ve had back/sciatica/periformis issues for over a year not being able to sleep and waking up in the middle of the night with numbness on my leg and/or pain/discomfort. I purchased this after sleeping on a hospital guest bed for 2 weeks, my back started feeling better so i figured it was the firmness of the gel cushion on the couch. I searched MANY places/mattresses and this was by far the firmest and most comfortable mattress, even more than my $4K mattress. Completely worth the money. It was so hard to find a full size firm mattress and i’m so thankful I finally did! Oh and the packaging was first class!!

If you don’t have chronic back issues, then this is a wonderful bed. It was definitely more firm than medium firm, but I realize that’s subjective. My husband (back and side sleeper) prefers to sleep on a board, and he really liked this bed. Unfortunately for me (also a back and side sleeper), I found myself waking up with my arm under my back trying to give myself extra support. So, if that’s what you’re looking for, this bed is not for you. The top was soft though, and the mattress seemed well made.
HOWEVER, I have to add that our return process was incredibly smooth, and customer service was easy to work with. I searched everywhere trying to figure out how sellers handled returns for things like a mattress that absolutely will NOT fit back in a box. This seller requests that you donate the mattress to your preferred charity (we chose Habitat for Humanity – not all places accept mattresses – new or not…also keep in mind that if they don’t do pickups for donations then you have to figure out how to get the mattress there if you don’t have a truck), take a picture of the donation receipt with their name on it, and take a picture of it being loaded onto the truck or dock of the building. They responded in less than a day with everything I wrote. The FULL refund was posted hours after having provided the photos above. Even though the bed didn’t work out for us, it was overall a pleasant experience.

I did a lot of research before ordering a bed. Some things that we’re important to me:
1. A natural bed without chemical odors.
2. A firm supportive mattress that wouldn’t hurt my back.
3. A comfortable mattress where I could get a good night sleep.
4. Preferably not extremely expensive
This mattress is all of the above:) There was no chemical odor at all and it states it’s made out of more natural ingredients. The bed is the perfect firmness. Many mattresses hurt my back, this bed provides support. Lastly, the bed is very comfortable. I did have to put a ‘mattress pad’ on top. (To be honest I just put a comforter under my bottom sheet). But this gives just enough cushion and softness to the firm support.
I bought an avacado mattress prior to this one, and while I loved that it was organic, I had horrible back pain everyday. I was able to return it. Previously I have had a Casper mattress. That one was pretty good as far as firmness and low back pain, but I didn’t find it as comfortable and it wasn’t natural. Also I had a mattress from Rooms To Go for a while. That mattress also hurt my back to the point it was difficult to walk most mornings. This bed cost less than all of the above.
I am very happy to find this mattress. I finally have a good night sleep and wake up pain free and rested!!!

I’ve slept on a firm Tempurpedic memory foam mattress for the last 10 years but it gradually got soft and eventually caused back pain esp around hips and lumbar. I got a 3 inch organic latex topper and it helped but did not solve the issue since the mattress was sinking at my hips/lumbar as well as shoulders. I love the latex topper but needed a new/better mattress that didn’t sink. This is made in the USA and a great value. I got it on sale and ended up paying about $350 a fraction of a Tempurpedic. This mattress had no smell and was shipped in 2 waterproof “bags” vs a box which made it easy for me to handle and move on one shoulder. The plastic made it difficult to unroll because it sticks to itself.
It unrolls from top to bottom and expanded within a 2-3 hours but I left it for 6 hours before adding my latex topper which is over 50 lbs, then waited another 6 hours before sleeping on it. Best sleep in years. The exterior cover had a zipper if needed.
I did lay down on the mattress before adding the topper and it felt great. You do sink in a bit more compared to a firm Tempurpedic but the support is definitely there. My hips/lumbar and shoulders were well supported and I felt like I was floating. The lux firm may be a bit too soft for me but the topper solved that problem. If you sleep hot, it may be warm for you but the latex topper I added helped with that. Plus the topper will prolong the life of the mattress. All in all, I got a great set up for less than $750 – organic 3 inch latex topper (a king mattress would have cost $1500, less than my Tempurpedic but still a lot more than this set up) and this 8 inch mattress and I’m in heaven. When I lay down I’m just amazed how great my arthritic back feels.
