    Excellent Travel Pillow

Excellent Travel Pillow. Thank you for having this. I need to make sure that I am sleeping excellent on my trip throughout different flights. I am always looking for ways to find & improve better ways to sleep while traveling; and this is it. Love it!

    Works well.

I have bought two styles of this. They both are a little bit short for my liking. If they were a little bit taller, it would be easier on my neck. I also purchased an inflatable neck pillow. I have used the neck pillow to give it an extra little bit of height And also have used it as a side pillow, placing it on the armrest on the plane. Although that requires an empty seat next to you. 🙂

    Won’t fit in some airlines.

I couldn’t use this because it was too big to squish it behind the seat of the person in front of me when they were reclined. Also, it’s quite hot so you’ll need to put something cotton over the top in order to make comfortable.

    LOVE IT

You’ll feel silly the first time you use it but will quickly get over it because it makes traveling so much better. Inflates and deflates easily. I would have given 5 stars if the carry bag was a bit bigger because the current bag is a nightmare to wiggle the pillow into and out of. I gave up and bought a bigger bag to make life easier.

Better than a neck travel pillow; however, not perfect solution

I was going to Europe and hoped I could sleep on the 12 hour flight. It’s kind of big and I had to deflate a bit; the opening for your head was uncomfortable. I was lucky if I could sleep 30 minutes at a time. Granted all my seats were middle seats and made me wonder if it would be a better fit by the window.

I would be a brand ambassador for these inflatable travel pillows. Every time I travel people I sit next to on the plane always ask me where I purchased this and I always send them the link.I really cannot speak highly enough of these! Cant’ travel without them.

Do not buy if you have a gut

Me and my husband wanted to try this for our upcoming trip, but for us (and our body proportions with our stomachs) we couldn’t comfortably reach the pillow in front of us. Such a bummer, seems so comfy.

I can not get comfortable on a flight at all. This is the closest i have come to getting comfortable. you can use it in different positions for when you want to switch it up.

    Great addition to flights!

I’ve used the neck pillows that don’t provide support so I went on the hunt for something better. I fly a lot and this seemed to fit the bill. There was a slight odor (think plastic beach ball) upon opening, but I followed the instructions and washed it quickly in the shower with dish soap, rinsed, and then hung under a ceiling fan to dry. The smell was 90% gone. I used this on at least 6 flights before writing this review and here’s my thoughts.Pros – small (about the size of a pair of socks), comfortable material, easy to inflate, super easy to deflate, versatile.Cons – not enough air flow if you put your head face down in the opening and the cap/valve cover pops off easily. This easily fit inside my bag I take on the plane. The material is a soft velour type material and it took me a few more than 5 or 6 breaths to inflate, but not many more. Be prepared to get some weird looks from passenger and flight crew with this thing, but in the end…it works! I was able to get sleep and rest on my flights. I liked the versatility of being able to partially inflate it as well and use as a side pillow up against the window. My only negatives of the product are the valve cover cap has a little ring that popped off several times as I moved the pillow around in front of me in the ever decreasing size of the plane seats. The other thing I noticed is, when you put your head face down in the hole in front, it’s tough to breath as there really isn’t fresh air that reaches you. Although I found that to be the most comfortable position, I had to turn my head to the side to get fresh air. Another nice bonus that I first thought was cheesy were the eye covers. These things work fantastic and are super comfortable! Combined with the pillow I felt like I was in a deep meditating space and would recommend you give it a shot.

    Best travel pillow…yet…

I’ve tried various neck pillows without much success. My head always ends up falling forward and strains my neck. This full-on front body pillow is therefore the best I have tried yet. The Sunany is not perfect, but far better than any standalone neck only pillow for those with heavy heads that lean forward. The premise is you lean forward into the pillow, which is braced against your legs, so you can curl up a bit with everything supported on the pillow. The concept sort of works, in the right conditions. I am 5’9″ and find the pillow still a bit too short in height. If I do not have something in front of me or my legs propped just right, the pillow tends to slide forwards and my neck still droops too far to be comfortable. On a plane where the pillow is braced against the seat in front of me, it cannot slide forward, and then works quite well at holding my face. The air bladders are stiffer than expected, which is great. The actual materials are very reasonable. Soft fabric, no rough edges on your face. Well placed face holes. Arm holes are a great touch so you can wrap up and hug the pillow to help hold it. Easy to inflate with the large hole, then finish with the smaller sealing valve. Less effort than the sealed push-pocket neck pillow I have to inflate. Nice feature on the bottom of the pillow lets you drop say your phone or kindle on the bottom and look down on it for reading or movies. Tight fit for an iPad, but works. It stuffs up into the sack well, and comes with a face mask and ear plugs if you need more.I hope there is a version 2 that is taller at some point, but I will still happily use this as an improvement to anything else.

Need the detailed steps as how to fold it

Tested it today but I did not take. A picture before I use it. So after deflate the air and trying to put it into the bag but I could not. You have the following comment in step 3. fold he product repeatedly to the desired size. It would be great to display the step by step as how to fold it because in an airplane the space is limited

    GAME CHANGER FOR TRAVEL!

I really wish I had known about this earlier. This was a real game changer in my airline travel. I found this the only way I was able to even relax on the flight. You know how it is, the screaming babies, people banging their chair and your knees and everything else…ugh. So a little bit difficult to relax on the plane until you have this! It comes in a nice little nylon bag and then minutes, you inflate and have this wonderful pillow to wrap yourself around that actually came with headphones too so you can block the rest of the kids screaming and coffee spilling passengers out during your whole flight. You’ll definitely regret your next flight if you don’t purchase it trust me!

    Didn’t like the positioning

I bought this one and another one with the more rounded bottom and found that the other one was much more comfortable. This might work well for a taller person, but I did not feel like I could comfortably sleep with this one. The plastic part around the face opening was a little uncomfortable as well.

    Comfortable and effective

I opened it up and tried it out before my trip. I recommend doing this because the plastic has an odor out of the box which goes away if you let it air out for a while. I was surprised how easy it was to inflate. U need to follow the directions and inflate both the inner and outer portions. It gave me excellent support. It’s kind of large so do not inflate it on the plane until u r ready to use it. I felt like everyone around me noticed it and felt jealous. I was grateful I thought ahead because I would’ve been exhausted and miserable without it. I slept a solid 4.5 hours! The other good thing about this product is that u can use it even if ur in a middle seat because all u need is your tray table down. U might even be able to use it on ur lap but I didn’t try that. You must use the eye cover that comes with it because the edges of the plastic where ur face rests will hit uncomfortably on your face without it. The eye patch is padded to ensure you can rest comfortably. I was able to deflate the pillow easily and put it back in the carrying case which fits very snug. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Do yourself a favor and get this!

I saw something like this years ago in the SkyMall catalogue – ever the inflight source of belly laughs – and thought it was the dumbest thing I had ever seen. Well, now that I’m older and the airlines are sucking all of the joy out of flying unless you can drop a couple grand on first class, I have changed my tune. This thing is amazing and makes flying, especially those awful redeyes, more tolerable. I got some decent sleep using this pillow. The sleeping position is more comfortable than reclining the full one inch the airlines are giving these days and having your head loll around and dip forward, which happens to me even with the neck pillows. The port you use to inflate the pillow is awesome too. It has a one way valve in it so you don’t have to worry about running out of breath in the middle. It is also a big port so you can fill it up quickly since the pillow is a little big. I felt a tiny bit silly busting it out a first since we were parked on the tarmac for over an hour and the lights were on full blast, but ultimately I cared more about getting some sleep. So glad I did! I am ordering one for my mom next.

    Best pillow to travel with!

I don’t get on an airplane without this pillow! It allows me to sleep through the night on red eye international trips and I always get so many people asking me where I got it! Customer support is fantastic and we’re quick to respond when I needed to contact them!

Finally found a way to sleep on a plane

I used this on flights between the U.S. and Austria and could finally sleep on the plane. I am someone who always leans down on the tray to try to sleep, but that gets uncomfortable because it means you are leaning too far forward. This pillow keeps you in a comfortable position that doesn’t overstrain your back. If you are someone that tends to lean forward to sleep, this may be a good option for better comfort.

    Meh

It works, and is exactly what it says it is, but I didn’t find it all that comfortable. I found after a few uses it started to lose some air, but it doesn’t appear to be leaking so I could probably blow it back up. I wanted to use it for desk napping, but it wasn’t a good angle for me.

    REQUIRED for all International travel

I travel internationally for my company several times a year. If you are like me who can’t sleep sitting up because you are a stomach or side sleeper, then this pillow is for you. It comes odorless. It is compact enough that it easily fits in my carry-on. It blows up in a short amount of time and rapidly deflates with the larger valve. I love this so much, this is my third one because I keep giving mine away to my family members (more like they take it!).

    Just perfect for long travel

Best travel invention ever! But seriously, this is one of my favorite purchases for travel. My wife and I bought two for our trip to Japan. I can’t sleep in cars or planes but I knew I needed to figure out something. These things probably saved the first couple days of our trip. I was able to get a few hours of sleep on the plane and the trains with these. They have a nice soft fabric texture, thick material I wouldn’t expect them to fall apart any time soon. So many options to lay your head on these things. Honestly I recommend them to anybody going on a trip.

Good if you like to sleep forward

I’m a terrible, terrible plane sleeper so in prep for an international flight to the south Pacific I purchased 5 travel pillows: the J-Pillow, the Travelrest All-in-One Neck & Body Pillow, the BCOZZY, the SkySiesta SNUG, and the Sunany Inflatable Neck Pillow. The J-Pillow was the worst and I immediately sent it back without use. There was no internal support and it just didn’t support my neck well which is my main issue. The Travelrest All-in-One was probably my favorite – especially if you had something to lean against like a window seat. You can also tilt the armrest partway up and lean against it. It’s a good and innovative pillow. My wife liked the BCOZZY and confiscated it, so I can’t comment personally on it. I can say she liked it and slept well with it (although she’s just an easier plane sleeper than I am, so the comparison isn’t quite fair). I also used the SkySiesta SNUG quite a bit and it helped as well. It has great neck support and keeps your head from tilting. Another benefit is that it covers your ears (which is very important for me) and so keeps out quite a bit of noise. It somehow made my head feel really secure and so I slept pretty well with it.The Sunany Inflatable was OK as well. Basically, you are going to like this pillow if you are a forward leaning sleeper. If you have a hard time feeling like you are staying “back” in your seat as you are sitting up and feel as if you want to keep falling forward, this is pillow may be valuable to you. I’ll say it works better if you are flying coach. If the seatback or tray in front of you is too far away, this pillow doesn’t work as well. So any seat with extra leg room (bulkhead, business, etc) will likely drastically reduce the effectiveness of this one. In coach, you can basically cram it between you and the seat in front and it’ll keep you from flopping forward. I found that I couldn’t just put this on my lap for it to work. I needed to use the tray of something. I didn’t find the beach ball smell that others refer to to be a problem. Just take it out and inflate it once before your trip.My results were that I slept about 3 hours with one configuration (the Travelrest All-in-One) then would wake up, take more sleep medicine, and switch to another (the Sunany Inflatable). All told, after rotating pillows, I ended up getting 6-7 hours total sleep (on an 11 hour flight) which I was delighted with. Keep in mind that I’m a TERRIBLE (beyond terrible) plane sleeper. If you aren’t, you will likely have much better results than I did.So of the 5 I bought, I would purchase again the Travelrest, SkySiesta SNUG, and the Sunany Inflatable.

    Not that convenient

Just too big and cumbersome on a plane. The recliner on the person in front made it difficult to get positioned and your elbows get into the space of the person next to you. Bummed it didn’t work out.

I didn’t know how I’d like the pillow but must say it was a great help to catch some sleep on an overnight flight to Amsterdam. I had the pillow and arrived having gotten a few hours of decent sleep! My wife, no pillow, arrived groggy. And kudos to Sunany support for responding to my questions about the pillow.

    Not allowed on Emirates flights

We bought these for our flight to India and I got use for a while till my husband inflated his pillow up and we were informed that it wasn’t allowed right away. We contacted customer service when we landed and they said anything inflatable is not allowed on their planes due to an emergency risk.Overall, very nice, worked very well. Little to no back and neck pain.

I wanted to like this, but it could use some work.

LONG STORY SHORT:I really wanted to like this more. My wife and I went on a 9 day trip to Italy, which included a 9+ hour Overnight Flight, and a 10+ hour return flight. I’ve never been able to use a simple neck pillow and get meaningful sleep on a plane, so I thought I’d try the lean forward lay down approach…after all, I used to sleep on my High School desk during class like this all the time. That said, there are so pros, and many different possible sleeping configurations.PROS:-Compact, folds down into a little bag that is much smaller than any Neck Pillow I’ve had.-Soft outside material, like that of a high quality inflatable bed.-I really liked having all the “Hole” options to run my hands/arms through.CONS:-I didn’t do well with the “face in the top hole” technique because I didn’t like the pressure directly on my face like a massage table.-The Valve is in the back, but doesn’t push flat into the unit. I would have liked to use this large flat section as a pillow but the valve was in the way.-The inflatable sections were large and puffy, which meant that if you attempting to sleep in between the seams, there was a deep crevice.CONCLUSIONI think this “multiple sleeping configuration” is a great idea, but this unit is a poor design. I would have loved it, if I could lay the pillow horizontally on the tray table, stick my arms through a couple holes, and use the pack (or front) section as it’s on pillow. The back section was interrupted by the large valve sticking out, which made that uncomfortable. The front face is interrupted by the two holes, so I couldn’t get comfortable no matter what way I used it. I think if you put the valve on the side and made the back entirely one interrupted piece, I would have layed the unit face down and used the back as a full pillow, and that would have been awesome. After trying it once, I plan to return it, and find a better option.

Good to have in your travel essentials

I bought this for my boyfriend who has a hard time sleeping on planes. We have 2 different pillows now to switch off. The material is softer like felt but where you put your face can get a little uncomfortable after laying for awhile. I did get more sleep than expected with it! For me personally, it was too tall to put on the table and then lay on it. So I had to have it on my lap, which was fine, but I was more hunched over than I would’ve liked. With me it didn’t deflate, but my boyfriend said it deflated with him a little. Overall, it was good to have to switch off with our other pillow for a different sleeping position.

I love this pillow, it is the second one that I have purchased. I use it when we fly. I love it and think it works great. I will say though that people laugh at it when they see it and my husband is a little embarrassed when I get it out on the plane. Don’t care though, it works great!

great idea but didn’t fall asleep on this one

flew from US to Germany and tried this although better than anything on a jet that isn’t purchased by myself it inflated easily but I am not very small I am 6 foot 230 and leaning over to rest seemed like I was trying to eat my kneecap off so I put a spacer under it to raise it and that helped. Maybe a hook and loop bottom piece that can adjust to it would be great and add value if you are short or taller it would give you some adjustment on the item. overall it was comfy and did not leak and packs up very nice I would say the reach through holes on the side are nice and add a lot of value but the support seemed not so great and it did not topple but felt as though I was trying to stick my head through it not on it if that makes sense.

Works well but slowly deflated during use

**Update October 2019**I received a second unit from Sunany because my first unit came with a coupon of sorts to get a second for free. My second unit doesn’t have a slow leak in it like my first unit did. I took the inflatable neck pillow on a trip to South America last week. Here is one thing I have found . . . if you are in an exit aisle seat or a seat in like a bulkhead that doesn’t have a row of seats close in front of you, the pillow doesn’t work as well. It works best if when you lean forward with your face on the pillow that the pillow can push up against the seat back in front of you. That provides it with stability and keeps it from being pushed away from you. If you are in an exit aisle, comfort+, 1st class, bulkhead, etc. where you don’t have that seat back right in front of you the pillow is not as effective. I was in an exit aisle for one leg of my flights last week and found that I had a hard time keeping the pillow on my lap without it being pushed away from me.I took this Sunany inflatable pillow on a trip this past week from the U.S. to Europoe. During the 10 hour flight from the U.S. to Amsterdam I was able to use the pillow. Here are my thoughts about it:Pros- Easy to inflate- Easy to deflate- Easy to roll up and store in the included sack- It comes with a nice eye mask- The product feels well built. It feels like any of the air mattresses that are commonly sold by companies like Intex.- It was much more comfortable than a regular ring-type pillow that goes around your neck.Cons- The pillow would not stay fully inflated for more than a couple of hours. During my 10 hour flight from the U.S. to Amsterdam and used the pillow for maybe 3 or 4 hours. It had a slow leak. I had to blow it back up about 3 times during the flight to get it back to the level of air pressure that would fully support my weight. I had the cap on tightly that covers the air valve. There were no audible air leaks, so it was very slow. It was just annoying to be trying to sleep and then have to blow the pillow back up fully.- The facial hole in the pillow is a bit too large. Sometimes it felt like my full head was going to pop right through it into the pillow. I’m a 5’9″ male of average size, so anyone my size or smaller may feel the same. The size of the facial hole should be reduced slightly would be my recommendation for the manufacturer.Final ThoughtsOther than the slow air leak, I think it is a great pillow. I’m going to try to contact the manufacturer to see if I can get a replacement. On my way home from Europe I probably got a good 2 – 3 hours of sleep using the pillow that was much more comfortable than not having it. If it weren’t for the slow leak, I would raise my review to a 4 star.

    Great flight accessory

This makes flights more bearable, especially red eyes. It takes little space since you can deflate it to become flat It performs like a supportive shoulder but even better. Maybe I’ve got some sleep marks when I land, but I feel somewhat rested and it makes coach as comfortable as possible.

    Purchased for transatlantic flights

I would never have imagined that sleeping while leaning forward would be superior to sleeping leaning back. Inflation requires good lungs. But once up, this is amazing! The included sleep mask is great too. While we have not been on another transatlantic flight since our purchase, I regularly use the sleep mask at home. My wife describes it as a “face bra” because it has a molded rounded design, that keeps the mask above your eyelashes. But I love that I can blink or move my eyes and not feel the mask while wearing it.

Was hoping it would be more comfortable

I was hoping that this “pillow” would be more comfortable. It’s ok. What I learned is that I will probably need to order a small flat “ish” pillow to make it worth taking on another trip.

    Great, except for the valve

Being a stomach sleeper, I find it very difficult to sleep on planes if I can’t find a way to be face down. This pillow most definitely allows me to sleep. The only issue I have…the valve. If not for the valve, I would give a 5 star review.1) It’s HUGE, and doesn’t contract into the pillow after inflation. This makes it really difficult to get it into a good position. The valve doesn’t allow the pillow to go forward enough to be flush with the seat in front of you, making it hard to lean forward and rest on something super close to you2) once inflated, it’s nearly impossible to open the cork style valve to deflate. And when I say nearly impossible, I had to put so much force on it that when it finally gave I nearly elbowed the person next to me. This happened on all three of the flights I for which I used the pillow.Like I said, with the exception of the valve, it’s perfect. Unfortunately, given I almost assaulted a fellow traveler I don’t think I’ll be using this while flying.

    Good product

This product blew up well and seemed very sturdy for the price. I flew a budget airline so I wasn’t able to use it very often, but seems well made.

Good for small people… not so much adults.

Im roughly 220 lbs and 5’10”. Trying to use this thing is not great… good concept but its a bit mushy for me, i found myself constantly trying to adjust it in a position that didnt collapse down. i think if i were in a window seat and could prop it up a little better it would have worked out better for me tho. Used it for about 2 hours then gave up trying to get comfortable on a 11 hour flight…

    It supports your head

I liked that it actually supports your head. I didn’t like the size. It is huge and takes up a lot of space when it is blown up . I tried it once but am not sure I will use it again. It takes a bit of time to blow up but you can release the air quickly.

Looks silly, works like a dream

Everyone I told made fun of me for this purchase. “It’s so ridiculous.” “You will probably smother yourself.” “What a pain to carry that big thing around Asia for two weeks.” All of those things turned out to be wrong. It was not ridiculous, it was epic. On a 16 hour flight, I slept for a six hour stretch using this. My traveling companion purchased an expensive multi-use neck wrap thing for four times the cost and she did not sleep well with it. Thankfully, I did not smother myself while sleeping. The ventilation in the inflatable pillow was not an issue. Finally, it inflates and deflates quite easily. Once deflated, I rolled it up and shoved it to the bottom of my backpack.Negatives- I took a domestic flight on Bangkok Airways. They asked that my friend deflate it (she gave up on her lame neck pillow) as they said it would delay an emergency exit from the row. Also, I slept so hard that the seams left some lines on my face and I drooled a little.

    Works as designed

Travel pillow works as needed for after retina detachment surgery. Used in car while traveling home. Use on couch during required head down positionin while sitting up, with added throw pillow under it as I have a long torso. Air does come out but not excessively. Meets needs. Worth the purchase.

Easy to inflate, portable and convenient

It is a very convenient product. What you can find in the description is what you get. I used it for the plane and it was very good. I did find out that is not a good option for car trips.

Still in coach, but actually sleeping.

Let’s start by agreeing that we shouldn’t expect this to make coach feel anything more than coach. It just makes the experience in coach less terrible, especially if you want to sleep in a middle seat. It was easy enough to inflate, but I was too embarrassed on the first flight. I now wish I would have just been uncomfortable for thirty seconds so I could have slept in my middle seat. I’m not an avid flyer so I wasn’t relaxed enough to sleep for more than 45 minutes on the second flight but oh man those minutes were good! Two of us passed it back and forth and I think I’ll get a second one. This item is not small, you’re not outside of your seat because of it but it takes up a lot of your space. However, the option for us both to sleep comfortably will outweigh the lack of space when they’re both blown up.I took off a star for the outrageous chemical smell. It’s mentioned in other reviews but I was not prepared for the extreme assault on my nostrils. It went away after a few days of fresh air and a road trip with the windows down. So make sure to order it in advance just to let it sit and think about it’s decision to smell like it’s trying to kill you.

    Great product

As someone who has a hard time keeping my head from lolling back and forth when sleeping during a flight, this was an absolute godsend. This pillow allowed me to sleep in a comfortable position during my flight and it was very easy to inflate and deflate. It’s worth noting that it does take up quite a bit of room so meal time was a little tricky since I didn’t want to inflate and deflate it multiple times. The face hole was also a little uncomfortable around my chin, so it took a few tries to figure out how to position my face in it but once I did, everything else was fine. I kept my glasses and personal belongings in it by my hands while sleeping so I didn’t have to worry about losing them. It also doesn’t take up too much room in my carry on for how big it is once fully inflated. Overall a great purchase and I definitely recommend for long haul flights.

    Great for a bus ride

Bought this for a DC trip for school. Got a lot of laughs from my students when I pulled this out but it made sleeping on the bud much easier. It is very easy to blow up and only takes a few good breaths. Plus it rolls up nicely to go in the travel bag.

    Lifesaver for Traveling

Bought these for a long flight to Europe. What a lifesaver!!! Really comfortable. Easy and quick to inflate. I slept for several hours without getting a sore neck! Compact and light for travel. Deflating is a little loud, but would not deter me from purchasing!
