In the never-ending search for a night of peaceful sleep, I stumbled upon the Stress-Relax Tranquil Sleep by Natural Factors. The ingredients list piqued my interest: Suntheanine L-Theanine, 5-HTP, and Melatonin – a trio often hailed for their sleep-enhancing properties.
First impressions matter, and I must commend the easy-to-swallow softgel format. They’re gentle on the stomach, ensuring no discomfort as I settled down for the night.
The efficacy of the product is what truly shines. Around 30 minutes post-ingestion, I began to feel a calm wash over me. The Suntheanine L-Theanine seemed to do its job in quieting the mind, curbing the endless parade of thoughts that usually keep me tossing and turning.
The addition of 5-HTP, a precursor to serotonin, likely contributed to an improved mood upon waking. No grogginess, no “sleep aid hangover” – just a refreshing morning with a clearer mental state.
Melatonin, a well-known sleep regulator, ensured my sleep was not just longer but also of better quality. I found myself waking up less during the night and experiencing deeper sleep cycles.
While individual reactions to supplements can vary, Stress-Relax Tranquil Sleep has found a regular spot on my nightstand.

Really helped me get a restful sleep. Bottle says to take 2 capsules but that made me groggy. 1 capsule works perfect and helps me get a restful and solid sleep

I have used this product for about two weeks. I am consistent with my bedtime at around 10:30pm. I take the recommended 2 capsuls. It does seem to help me fall asleep after about 45 minutes. However, I consistently wake up at 4:30am and cannot go back to sleep. I will not re-order.

Groggy ness that’s common with melatonin

This is a good once and awhile sleep aid – for that it works well. However if you are looking for a nightly sleep aid that doesn’t leave you groggy in the morning what I found from taking this is that it’s better to just use L-theanine and valerian and omit the melatonin – You’ll get the relaxation and somewhat sedative feel from these alone but not the grogginess from melatonin. That being said I’m glad I have these for those nights were I need that boost that melatonin provides. I can see this product useful for insomnia vs the interrupted sleep cycle issue.

This is wonderful. You get a great nights sleep and wakeup refreshed without any “hang over” efffects some product leave you with. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a problem getting to sleep.

I tried these sleep aids twice and both times had a more restless night than usual. Threw them away.

I’ve been using a tablet form of this product for some years, and it works great for me. It doesn’t knock me out like, say, Xanax or a prescription product (which is a good thing, I think, most of the time). And it’s lots easier to obtain than prescription sleep meds.
I find that in most cases it promotes drowsiness in about 15-20 minutes and nudges me gently, imperceptibly, into sleep. It also seems to help me get back to sleep — sometimes — when I have to get up in the night. I don’t feel drugged, drowsy, or tired when I wake up in the morning, either, which isn’t always the case with prescription meds.
I’m new to this softgel format, but my initial impression is that it seems to work even better than the tablet form (not sure why — maybe something about the way it metabolizes?).
I’ve looked online about side effects and long term use of all the ingredients, and so far I haven’t found anything alarming. But I recommend that you should always pay attention — it’s still a drug, and not everyone reacts to any drug the same way that others may.

I had been using a non addicting sleep aid for several years, but was worried about possible side effects. I went looking for something more natural and came across this product in a Mother Nature store. It has worked well for me. After taking it, I start to get drowsy in 15-20 min. and fall into a deep sleep. It helps me to sleep for about 6 hours. I gave it a 4 star because I would love to sleep for 7-8 hours. This could be because of the product or another underlying factor. Grateful though, for a good nights sleep.
