I’ve used these for a year and 2 months. They do a good job and interface well with Google assistant if you set up Google home or with the smartlife app. I have them set up to turn on and off through verbal inputs to Google assistant on my samsung watch, which makes using them very easy. Range of colors is good and there’s a good amount of customizing you can do. I have mine set to turn on at 7 to wake me up for work. Only issue is that, if the power goes out, you sometimes have to turn them on and off a few times to get them to resend to the router.
I’m leaving this review because I had a great interaction with this company’s support team, which i find sometimes is even more important than the product itself. Recently, a power outage caused one to no longer get into pairing mode or sync with the router. It started to just shine a bright light and get hot as you left it plugged in (no fire or danger, just couldn’t get it to respond to the router). I contacted support. Someone immediately answered the phone (no stupid answering service or twenty menus to go through). They were extremely friendly; there was no interrogation at all. They said this product has a 2 year warranty and they would send me a new bulb. They collected my order number and the replacement bulb is on the way. I was very pleased. This is how a company’s support should be. I highly recommend using this company’s products. I will be buying from them again.

I’ve tried 2 or 3 different brands of smart bulbs. These ones were installed and recognized by Alexa. Hoping that they don’t mess up.

So, I have to say that these where so easy to install and set up. The app was user friendly (Smart Living App). It connected to my wifi easily after enabling 2.4ghz. Most of the routers will have 2.4 built in and you just have to turn it on. Not sure why some of the other reviews said it was hard to connect as it was very seamless for me. After I had it added into their app, from that same app it was such a quick link to your smart home app. I use Alexa and it was literally a two button confirmation click to link the account. After selecting link to Alexa, Alexa on my phone notified me instantly that there was new devices added. Upon checking in the Alexa app, there it was. Easy peasy. I was able to do the rest in the Alexa app as I prefer this to control all the other devices. I linked all the lights to 1 group and now able to control it with voice or if I wanted to manually turn it off with 1 switch. I will update this reviews if I find any troubles as I’ve just had this for over a couple hours now playing around with it. I had to write a review right away since it was easier to set up then my Philips hue and those have been giving me some grief. But its been a couple years using it so these light might get weird too. The biggest difference is the cost and I would expect more from Branded Phillips. So crossing my fingers as these are budget friendly and user friendly.

I’ve always wanted to change the B11/E12 bulbs on our front porch, but retail store brands were too expensive considering I needed four in the front of our house, plus another four outside our garage. The light fixtures we have also didn’t seem to work with all E12 bulbs. I took a chance on these, and couldn’t be happier.
Build quality seems good, all four bulbs turned on and blinked (for pairing mode) as soon as I plugged them in. They instantly connected to my IoT Wi-Fi network, changed the colors to my liking, and integrated them into Home Assistant with the Tuya integration (pulled the ID from the app, then used the QR button on the top right of the app to scan the QR code from Home Assistant’s Tuya integration). I didn’t see an option to change the colors in Home Assistant, but easy to do with the Smart Life app. We decided to do green on one side and purple for the other, to compliment our Halloween decorations. It looks great, and I can easily switch them back to white after. Just ordered four more for our garage. Highly recommend if your looking for E12 bulbs for the outside of your house for seasonal or everyday lighting.

Update: Company contacted soon after posting this review and completely changed my opinion. They sent me an updated product to keep for testing at no extra cost and they work amazingly. I’ve had no issues with flickering at all, the color is great. The only issue I have is the interface of the app that you use to change the color, but that’s such a minor issue in comparison to everything else I had issue with before. Great customer service, quick and caring response from the team. Very much worth the initial hassle.
I bought these and installed them and I had one that would flicker every few minutes. Went on a trip, came back a few days later, and now they all flicker nonstop every millisecond. The interface to program them is very user unfriendly too. It takes forever to navigate and figure out how to set them to colors and even when you do it’s weird. And only two of the four would register with Alexa so I had to reset them which just made me have to reprogram everything I just programmed in the smart life app.

First, what I like:
– When using it as a white light — that is, not using RGB colors — you can set it to a wide range of color temperatures. I, personally, love warm white light because I grew up with incandescent bulbs. Daylight White, Cool White, and even what most companies refer to as “Warm White” (generally 2700K), are all too fluorescent or blue-looking for me to be able to judge the colors of things in the room, and it bothers my sense of contrast. Luckily, these lights allowed me to set a color temp closer to around 2200K, which I love.
– The brightness of the bulbs is enough to really light the room up. I have a floor lamp with a 100W-equivalent warm white GE bulb that I have hooked up to a dimmer near my bed that has served as my main source of light in my bedroom for several years, now, but with three of these bulbs in my ceiling fan’s light fixture lets me choose a good combination of light levels in several directions so that I can have just the right amount of light in just the right location to be able to see what I want without having to overpower the room in light.
– The bulbs themselves are sturdy-feeling, but I don’t have to worry about dropping them because they are made mostly of plastic. The product sits in just the right position between high-quality and cheap so that I don’t have to feel like they are just going to die, and I don’t have to worry about sticker shock if they happen to do so.
– The color range and maximum brightness in color mode are good. They meet my needs and are what I expected of an RGBW smart bulb.
And now, why I docked them a star (or more like a star and a bit less than a half):
I am a bit of a nerd, and I have some experience programming and automating things as a sort of hobby, so I was eager to use the Smart Life app to set up some custom button widgets to handle whatever situations I felt like would be useful. Most things are really no problem, and if this was a White-only smart bulb, the software would have been flawless, as far as I am concerned. Sadly, I wanted to be able to automate RGB color and brightness changes the same way I could do with the White Light functionality. That is not possible. The only option you have is to et the bulb to “color mode”, which reverts to the last manually-set RGB color and brightness for the bulb. You can’t set up a process to change Bulb01 to Orange with a brightness of 50%, Bulb02 to Red with a brightness of 30%, and Bulb03 to Yellow with a brightness of 10%, and then have a second button to rotate those colors one bulb over… All you can do is set Bulb01 to color mode, set Bulb02 to color mode, and set Bulb03 to color mode. Then you have to manually go through the software to change the color and brightness. Even if you set the bulb to color mode, if you try to set the brightness of the bulb when it is in color mode, the bulb shifts back to white mode. Apparently programming the brightness of the bulb only applies to White Mode, even though you can manually do so when you manually set the color.
Either the Smart Life app needs to be fixed, LightingInside’s bulb firmware needs to be fixed, or the configuration used by Smart Life for LightingInside’s smart bulbs needs to be fixed. Not sure which, and since the Smart Life app and the LightingInside smart bulb firmware are both closed source, customers are not able to fix the issue themselves (at least, not unless you’re an uber-nerd, want to open the bulbs up to directly flash an unapproved firmware to them, and then write you own web apps to control the bulbs manually… which, I’m sure, would void the warranty and would also cause Smart Life not to work with the bulbs).
So, I guess if you’re not really super into automating the color portion of the product, these are super cool. If you use those Home Spy Devices (Google Home, Alexa, Siri, et al.), you can probably do a lot more interesting stuff with them. But, if you’re self-sufficient when it comes to automating things, mehhh… not ssure if any of the other off-brand RGBW light bulbs out there are any better, because most of them use Smart Life or Tuya (which are the same thing, BTW). It might be better to go with one of the Phillips Hue, Govee, or GE Cync lights (though, I have no way of actually knowing, because I have never used any other smart bulbs).
