Controller defaults to off when power disconnected. I previously had a Beautyrest blanket that defaulted to on. This allowed connection to a timer to set to preheat the bed. Now I have to remember to turn the blanket on well before I want to go to bed. I only use this to preheat the bed and turn it off as soon as I get in. Would also prefer if the heat went closer to the ends to warm foot area.

This mattress pad is HOT! I can barely tolerate level 1! (For reference, I like to be warm and usually use a setting of 5.) We put a mattress pad on top of this mattress pad so that it would not be too hot even on the lowest setting.

It fits nicely on a thick mattress and is comfortable. Seems well made.

I’ve had it for probably about a month now. And I absolutely love it. I had a different brand previous and it just wore out and lost its elasticity. So I was looking for a replacement. My last blanket wasn’t super warm and took a while for me to feel warm. This one’s perfect. My husband who is always hot uses it here and there too! I read some reviews that said it was too hot but it has settings. You can make it cooler LOL! I think it’s perfect. I run it on 10 all the time but I’m freezing to death all the time! But I do like that it’s very adjustable. I like that the LED light goes off in about 5 to 6 seconds. I like then it’s warm. I like that I can run it on lower levels. I believe it’s perfect!

After a year and a half this thing is worth it’s weight in gold. My husband is a paraplegic so staying warm is a must for him. I however don’t want to be that warm. I use another water proof protector over this one and I’ve only had to wash it a few times. But it’s held up great.

I was searching for a high end matress protector (protect from liquids, etc) but also wanted a full bed heating pad. After reading about how some matress protectors conflict with full bed heating pads I thought this would be perfect. And it is. Top quality matress protector with a full bed heating pad built in. Easy to use controller with long cords (to the outlet and the wired controller to the matress protector). Couldn’t be better. When I ordered I noticed a few reviews that had issues with warranty but based on my experience so far as long as you take care of it and follow the washing instructions etc I don’t forsee any issues. And yes, it’s even machine washable. Not the cheapest product on the market but honestly it’s the best and worth spending the $$$ for a more comfortable sleep.

There’s so much to love about this heated mattress pad: Comfort, warmth, controls are easy to work and has several heat levels to select. (Although on my last one, the cloth underneath literally fell apart when I took it off the bed. Luckily it was within the 12 month warranty period, but still a hassle.) Anyway, the major design flaw is that the cord plugs in at the bottom of the mattress pad by your feet. And you want the controls up by your head, right? Presumably on a nightstand or headboard. The cord is a little bit too short to do that without having to monkey around with the cord and stretch it farther than it probably should be for safety. I even tried to flip the pad around to have the plug up toward the head of the mattress instead, but the cord connection is too big & lumpy to have right there by your head. So it’s a bit wonky but there’s no way around it. I wrestled with different configurations for nearly an hour. I just had to do the best I could. The cord between the mattress pad plug & the control should be another 6-8 inches longer, at least. Ugh. (SERTA: PLEASE PUT SOME MORE THOUGHT INTO THIS DESIGN FOR A MORE PLEASANT USER EXPERIENCE!).

We’ve used sunbeam heated pads for years. They absolutely do not stay put, and until we tried this one, we didn’t realize they are overall pretty uncomfortable. Comfort-wise, hands down, this serta is a winner. It feels just like a traditional mattress pad. You can’t feel wires or plugs. It doesn’t shift or slide or cause your sheet to shimmy around. It’s awesome.

I do have some irritations with the actual heating bits though. The heating elements themselves seem to be placed strangely. Maybe I sleep lower than it’s intending, but under the pillows gets HOT, while my feet get next to nothing. My husband put it on, and I accused him of putting it on upside down, but it’s on correctly. I’m just peeved that I can turn my bed up to 350 and I still have to wear socks.

The preheat function is something we didn’t have on previous pads, and I love it. However, the digital controller doesn’t “remember’ the previous setting. So if I had it set for a 6 hour timer at a temp of 5 the night before, I have to redo that when I go to bed the next night. If it shuts off before I’m getting up, I have to wake my brain up enough to turn it back on to the temp and duration I want instead of just turning it back on. First world problem for sure, but it’s a simple function for a digital device.

Love this product it is waterproof and stays on the bed real nice. It’s very soft to lay on the sheet fits over it properly too.

My Twin XL pad fits the mattress properly. It’s padded and not crinkley. It washes and dries well. The control and heat range work well.

My husband likes this better than the electric blanket. He stays warmer and on a lower setting.
