14 inch king size Amztree Hybrid mattress in a box was delivered in a shipping box that was ripped, torn and missing sections providing almost no protection for the mattress. I hesitated opening plastic sealed mattress on bed frame suspecting possible damage and I considered returning the mattress. I contacted amazon customer support who assured me that opening sealed mattress in a box would not waive or invalidate my concerns or rights of potential return although obviously the expanded mattress could not be repackaged in original condition. Amazon customer service noted my concerns and emailed me a conformation that mattress could be returned.
Much to my happy surprise when unsealed the mattress quickly expanded and within 4 hours appeared to be fully expanded. No wrinkles or folds were present. To ensure success I waited 30 hours before using the mattress. The firmness was greater than I expected. I would rate 5-6 medium firm. Edge support was fair. My precious mattress for 10 years in comparison was softer and seemed comfortable therefore my standard which I suspect influenced my objectiveness of my first impressions of firmness and comfort. Obviously, firmness and comfort is subjected, but in context I am 235 lbs. and share my king size mattress with 1 135 lb. partner. I feel this mattress offers a reasonable balance between comfort and support. Even as I write this review I am adjusting to the firmness.
The quality of the mattress seems good and is a very good value at a very reasonable price. Will the mattress continue to perform and remain comfortable for several years can’t be determined after one day, but I am planning on keeping the mattress. My recommendations are this is not a plus $1000 or top 5 mattress but if you are looking for a reasonably priced quality mattress this Amztree hybrid is worth your consideration. If not for the damage shipping box I would have rated the mattress 4.5

Arrived on given date. Removed the queen-size mattress from the shipping box, then slit the material holding the rolled-up mattress allowing it to unfold. I let it lay on the floor in another room for 72 hours, then put it on our bed. It is medium firm as advertised and the top pad is quite comfortable. We have slept on it for several nights now and my wife and I are quite pleased with the quality, both enjoying a better night’s sleep. No problem with getting too warm or our bodies drifting to the bed’s middle section. Edge support is quite good when my entire butt is supported by the mattress when I’m in a sitting position. I usually get up at least two times per night and when I do, I swing my legs off the mattress and then sit there for a few moments before standing. I have not experienced any slipping due to poor edge support. Overall, this was an excellent buy and the best part is that my wife is no longer complaining of shoulder pain like she did with our old mattress!

This is my second attempt at trying a bed in the box. I ordered this Amztree Hybrid in 12inch queen size and I tell you after sleeping on it for a month, I am pleased with the quality of sleep and support it provides. No problems with expanding or odor. I am a side sleeper and after spending lots of money on several name brands mattresses which did not provide me with the comfort they advertised, I am now sleeping better and no longer waking up with hip and shoulder pain. I did buy a mattress topper, so I suggest buying a 14inch as I could feel the springs towards the center of the bed. Happy with this purchase and fingers crossed that it holds up for a good while.

When the mattress unrolled I thought it was going to take some time to rise but it didn’t, it’s actually very firm and you can feel the springs when you lay down.
A few days later my sister started to itch and bumps were showing up on her skin. We searched it up and turns out the mattress had dust mites.
