First of all, let me say that this item is a great topper. It doesn’t trap you like a memory foam does and gives good support.
The key thing about latex mattresses is that they do not retain heat. I bought it specifically, for that reason as my mattress was making me sweat. So for those who get hot when they sleep, this is a good option. The idea that something is “cooling“ does not take into consideration thermal dynamics. There is no blanket or mattress topper that will cool you. What they can do is not retain heat and latex is the perfect option for this.
The size of this was a bit larger than my mattress which did cause issues with getting my sheets to fit, so I had to muscle them on a little.
Latex is a firmer substance than memory foam. Unless you like a really, really firm sleeping surface, I suggest getting the “soft.” Despite its name, it is still quite firm.

My mattress was too firm and was causing back pain. I found out about this product and thought I’d try it instead of buying a whole new mattress. I couldn’t decide between the 2″ and the 3″ so I called the Sleep On Latex company directly and got connected to Carl. Carl was extremely helpful and actually recommended the 2″, from what I had told him of my situation. I was very happy that he didn’t just try to upsell me, but actually listened to what I needed.
I’ve been sleeping on it now for about 3 weeks – feels great (slept on it from the very first night) – and doesn’t smell bad. I have a VERY sensitive nose so I was a little concerned from reading other reviews. However Carl recommended some tips and I didn’t have any problems with smell at all.
Overall very happy – saved me a whole lot more money since I didn’t need to buy a new mattress. And I also really appreciate that the company is based in North America, and it promotes mattress recycling. Eco-conscious. I feel really happy to support this company (which is why I’m writing this review too). Hope you guys do well as a business!

This is what I needed! I have Fibromyalgia with chronic pain and tenderness which leads to soreness from even small pressure points or fabric bunching up.
I also am very sensitive to smells, so I was a little worried some reviews said smell was strong.
I’m super happy, I planned to open it and potentially leave in another room to expand and air out. To my surprise, when I unwrapped it from the plastic it quickly rolled out and was immediately to size!
Completely shocked. It was really cool. If you have kids let them watch it pop to life.
They do sell a nice cover for it however I have it under a mattress protector so I don’t see a need.
The smell was strong, however it didn’t give me issues leave on the bed and sleeping on it the first night. Within a few nights I no longer noticed smell at all. Yay!
Yes I still have constant pain, but it is not amplified by mattress anymore. Compared to memory foam that is under it it breathes a little better. Hot flashes are less intense and bed isn’t soaked as before. I wouldn’t say it’s cooling though.
Material has amazing bounce back similar to unrolling. While it was still on the floor I walked on it and jumped on it and it provided cushion, a little spring, and followed foot up as it was lifted. Memory foam doesn’t return quickly and is NOT soft to quickly fall into.
I like that this is a USA company and it is using natural material. Even not having cover saves when it is not needed.
If you need a soft-med mattress because you have sore hips, knees, back, definitely consider this. Due to the amount of spring back and from what I’ve read about latex I’m looking forward to this lasting much longer then my cheap foam topper that was replaced on top of memory foam.
What is great about getting twin sizes is you can have different toppers on each side of the bed depending on each person’s needs.

I have a latex mattress, made up of 3 layers exactly like these, that I bought 10 years ago from a local manufacturer in LA. It’s always been the most comfortable mattress of my life, and it’s still going strong after all this time, without any noticeable change in support or comfort. What’s changed is my back. As someone else said, aging sucks.
My mattress is firm (I believe the top layer is 2″ medium?), and I’ve been thinking a few too many times that I wish now it was a Juuust a tad softer as a top layer, for simple comfort, pressure points (I alternate between sleeping on my side and sleeping on my back, but I most often fall asleep on my side) and back support. Sleeping outside of my home just kill me – 3 days in a hotel with their super soft, “cloudish”, unsupportive mattresses just kills me, and my back hurts all day. I also hate the feeling and heat of memory foam.
So I bought a 1″ soft topper. It looks exactly the same as the rest of my mattress’ layers, except it’s yellow-ish where mine are more of a cream color (and yes, some small tears around or between the holes is normal and do not affect performance or durability).
Getting into bed feels better than it ever has, and I can actually feel the topper mold my body and support it. My back feels a lot better when on my…uh, back, and both hips and shoulders feel great when on my side. I really didn’t need much, but this makes a world of difference. Moving around during the night also feels better, unlike before where my lower back would protest at the hip twisting. And I feel less stiff in the morning!
I didn’t get the cover as I was hoping my current cover would work for 1″, and it did! Can’t add any more layers though.
Delivery happened one day late through no fault of the seller, Fedex just *never* delivers on the promised day in my area. The box was small as the topper was folded and vacuum sealed.
I’ll definitely come back to this seller when I get even older and need more than 1″ 🙂

This is an excellent product. I aired it out in a spare room with a partially open window. No fumes at all after 2 days. It is soft and did change my very hard mattress into a very cushioned feeling mattress. Bounces right back after use with no residual compression like memory foam.

What can I say about this topper , it has transformed my bed into a luxury bed it is so comfy ,, you just seem to sink into softness and support , I have tried every sort of toppper on the market and this one is perfect I can’t sleep on memory foam it makes me to hot , but this one does not generate heat at all I’m over the moon with this latex topper
