I’ve always believed the idea that you should spend as much as you can afford on a mattress, since a good night’s sleep is so important. I bought this one thinking it would work until I could afford something “better”. Well, I’m a month in with this mattress and so far, I think my old thinking was way off. This mattress is astonishingly comfortable. The top has a nice cushiony feel to it, and you sink in just enough to feel slightly hugged. The springs underneath give nice support to it all, though, so it doesn’t feel like you’re just sinking down. It’s a fantastic combination of support and squish. I took off one star because it was advertised as “medium firm” which made me think it would have less give to it, but believe me when I say that I’m absolutely glad for that – this mattress is just fantastic.
It was delivered rolled up in a cardboard box, and wrapped tightly in plastic, which was easy to remove with scissors. It was satisfying to watch it “decompress” over the next few days, and I didn’t notice any strong or offensive odors from the material. It feels well-made, but time will tell. I’ll try to remember to update this in a year or so, but I genuinely hope this mattress holds up, because I find it to be incredibly comfy and I’m glad to have been proven wrong on my previous mattress logic!

I understand the description of this mattress uses the word “plush” several times, but it is maybe the most firm mattress I’ve ever slept on. If that is what you like, then you’ve found your mattress. Otherwise, it was quick to inflate, easy to open, and cheap to purchase. It is definitely a mattress.

I bought this spring mattress for my son. After trying it for three days, my son told me that this is the most comfortable mattress he has ever used. The mattress fabric is fine and smooth, very comfortable, and the spring hardness is moderate. I like it very much.

It’s a pretty good mattress. I slept on it for a few nights if it was really good and I haven’t had any issues with it and it does not smell at all despite this is a very new mattress and the springs in there are very good. My back doesn’t hurt and it’s pretty good.

It’s a good mattress it is a heavy package so be ready to have 2 people to move it and its a little on the firm side but still a good mattress with good support

We have had this queen mattress for about 2 weeks now, and we really like it. My husband and I were kind of skeptical at first because we didn’t know what a hybrid mattress was, but we wanted to try it as it was not that expensive. It was actually a coiled mattress with memory foam on top, which was good as we don’t like memory foam because they were too soft. This mattress, however, is pretty firm compared to a memory foam only mattress, but of course, is not as firm as all coiled ones. I will say somewhere in between a medium-firm mattress and a memory foam mattress, but its support is good. We used to buy the mattresses from Bjs or Sam’s Club, those are similar prices, but they are not even as good as this one. I didn’t cut open the mattress, so I don’t know what it looks like inside, and I don’t know what individually pocketed springs are, but this mattress does have spring coils inside to support it. Since we have been using it for about a couple of weeks, we will see what happens in about a year, but we like it so far. The other good thing is that it was being shipped in a box, and we didn’t need to rent a truck or van to pick it up.

My son is 6’3” and 180# and still growing. I needed a new bed that is medium firm to support his frame, but still give him the comfort he needs for a good night’s sleep. He’s an athlete, so his body is sore a lot and he needs a nice mattress. I read a million reviews before deciding on this Novella mattress and he said it’s even better than my $3k mattress!
We put it on top of a king mattress in the guest room and released the plastic so it could take shape on a flat surface. We left it alone for 4 or 5 days. When we went in to set it up, it was fully inflated to 12” and felt like a normal mattress from a full size box. The edges even seem supportive to me, which is everyone’s concern when they buy a bed in a box.
We bought a heavy duty metal platform bed frame and don’t use a box spring. This bed is heavy, so make sure you use a box spring or solid platform frame or it won’t hold up.
It’s only been a week, but so far he loves this mattress and says it’s his favorite on the house. That is actually saying a lot, because two of our mattress were several thousand dollars each.
I’ll update if anything changes, but so far this is an excellent purchase and I recommend it for medium firm comfort, quality, and price.
