The doctor prescribed this for me because of my low ferritin levels. I took this at night initially on its own and experienced severe heartburn and acidity. It was only later I noticed that the packaging clearly recommends taking it with a meal to reduce digestive issues!! I started taking it with lunch after that and no problems now with acidity. It does not cause constipation like other iron tablets.
