Got this kit to rule out certain molds that keep popping up in our shower. It was incredibly easy to use. Comes with plenty of agar dishes to separate and the growths the correct way. AND the best part was that I couldn’t find out specific growth in the booklet so I sent an email as they advise on the box and they replied within a few hours with a positive ID of the molds. I am impressed by how well this worked, I left it out in the open in each room and every single one of them had mold apparently. I am incredibly impressed with the Kayenqo mold detection kit. I placed the trays throughout my house, and the results were eye-opening. I believe they are very valid, because the results with the most mold were found in the most suspicious areas, such as- air conditioner and porch. The mold identification booklet was really helpful, but for mold I was uncertain about- i reached out to the kayenqo company. I work as a teacher in a NYC Public school building that is almost 100 years old.

The plates were easy to use, with clear instructions. After 4 days, all 6 plates I tested had developed some growth, but I had difficulty identifying the mold types in the illustrated guide that the manufacturer had sent. I took photos and sent them to the email address included in the package, and their lab identified all 6 plates with complete descriptions of the mold types, indicating which samples were potentially harmful and which were too insignificant to be of concern. I will definitely buy from this company again when I need more plates.

I have been suspecting that we have mold in our home as we get sick a lot. The kit is easy to use with a very thorough brochure included to explain instructions, what to do if mold is discovered, the type of mold etc. Customer service is phenomenal as there is an email one can reach out to if unsure about the mold discovered and they get back to you with a diagnosis so quickly. Highly recommend this as a DIY test if you want a general idea of where and what the mold issue is.
