I ordered this guided breathing light for my tween daughter. She is starting to experience some struggles with anxious thinking and I thought having a visual might help calm her down when she starts feeling panicky.
The light is a compact size and is rechargeable using a USB-C cord. It comes with a rope that can be put around the light to allow it to hang from a hook. It’s primarily plastic but feels quite solidly made.
The light color changes and increases and fades in intensity based on how they want you to breathe. There’s a mode for both adults and children, but I wish there was an option to customize the breath patterns.
Though my daughter found it challenging to breathe exactly with the light, she’s been taking it with her into bed as a soft light to use before falling asleep. It definitely serves a purpose, even if the breathing doesn’t work out. It’s a cute light that my daughter has been enjoying, so I would say it’s not a total loss overall.
I think the light is a fair price for what you receive and I’m glad I ordered it for my daughter to use.

It’s a nice little lamp to set a calm mood to have before you meditate and return to meditation from. Obviously during meditation your eyes should be shut, so lighting is irrelevant.
However for the pre and post meditation this is nice. The colors are soothing. The transition between colors is smooth. It’s rechargeable. It uses a USB-C jack which I prefer. USB-C is the new dominant standard and I’m glad this device adopted it.
I could see using this for mood lighting to fall asleep to.
This would make a nice gift for a college kid or anyone who is about to get into meditation.

I absolutely love this device. I use it in my office with therapy clients. It’s easy to use. The sound quality is good. It looks cool – different but modern. My clients feel comfortable using it during sessions.

I was told to start meditating at night. To help me sleep so I thoughts. This lamp might help if it didn’t well at least it’s a cool lamp lol. To my surprise, I actually fell asleep easier and stayed asleep longer. And it has been a total game changer. I have already recommended it to a few friends.
CONs: The battery life is only about 2.5 nights.

When working in a school with kids, it can be hard to make mindfulness or breathing fun. The lights (and not to mention durability) make this more engaging for kids.

We bought this for one of my children who takes a long time to fall asleep, and has a lot of anxiousness at bedtime. The concept of this product is excellent. Although it did not work for my son, and the way we had hoped, it still brought up great practice and conversations about breathing and how it’s important for our body to calm down. It also is still useful as a nightlight. It is very bright which could be either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what you were looking for. It wouldn’t work for my child who likes just a little bit of light, but it works well for the one whose bedroom I have it in as he doesn’t want it too dark.

I’ve never been a fan of suggested slow breathing with counting. It always makes me feel a little light-headed. I thought maybe the problem was that I was counting wrong and this device would help. It turns out I was not counting wrong, I just can’t do breathing like that.
It feels a little unfair to rate the device low because of something that appears to be my problem, but this is my opinion.
Also, the device is a lot smaller and, well, plastic, than implied by the listing pictures. It doesn’t seem flimsy, but it is plastic. It comes with a chunk of crystal in a pouch, which is fun.
