Beau regard doux sur la soirée à la ferme et une relation entre le papa et son enfant touchante.
Tout simplement magnifique.
Très beaux dessins! Un must pour la petite histoire du soir.
Absolutely amazing !!! –
A lovely story about animals going to sleep on a farm. Beautiful artwork with fantastic light work, but a very simple storyline . Perfect for a young child

This has been a treasured favorite with a number of children in our home.
It is sweet, simple, calming, and comfortably repetitive — kids love it. We like to buy the Toob farm animals set to go with the book and put the animals to bed in a little box, just like the boy in the story.

I first found this book in a monthly subscription for my young son. It has gorgeous paintings and cute rhyming story. I purchased this book used as I couldn’t find it new but it was worth it–I love this book!

This is a family favorite. Wendy Cheyette Lewison wrote the sweetest story and Juan Winjagaard’s illustrations are just beautiful. We read this to our twins every night at bedtime, it was soothing to them & us. Now they each have a copy for their children.

We had this book for our first baby (born in the mid 1990s) and I loved reading it to him, so much that I made up a tune to it that I still remember now. So it was an easy choice to buy a copy for our first grandchild. The pictures are beautiful and heartwarming, with clever little details that reflect the words. The words are in a simple, soothing rhythm and pattern that makes them easy to remember (my husband started quoting it from memory when we hadn’t read it for almost three decades!) so it’s very easy to say or sing them when cuddling a baby to sleep, even without the book in front of you. All in all a lovely, soothing book at bedtime for a young child.

Received this used copy in really great condition for my 3rd Grandson. 1st and 2nd grandsons loved it when we read it to them at bedtime. Originally we had received this book from a friend, who read it to her daughter. I packed it away and would like to return hers back to her when or if she has children. Its a lovely quiet story with beautiful illustrations. Heirloom quality.

This is my daughter’s favorite book! As a little girl, we would read it to her EVERY night. We love to give this book to our friends as a baby gift. It is getting harder to find however.
PS: our daughter is now 25 years old and her niece/God daughter read this book to her over the phone a few weeks ago, and she teared up. Oh how the circle of life is a Blessing.

I read this book so many times to my children that I have it memorized:). And they did too! The art is so fun to study and point to and talk about as well. And the art is very calming and relaxing. The rhyming lilt of the text also helps to calm baby. Definitely a classic!
