I’ve been using another, very popular brand of eyeglasses for years. In fact, my optometrist recommended that brand (he’s a great optometrist, and isn’t interested in your money, he wants you to see better). I took his suggestion for years, but the quality started to decline, so I thought, hey, why not get something blue blocking that has spring hinges and has the same style? Sure, I’ll pay more, but I’ll get better quality.
Oh boy, what a purchase these glasses were. They are definitely blue-blocking because after putting them on the day I received them (about a week ago), I started sleeping through the night, and I’ve slept 8 hours straight every night since then. I’m NOT saying this is going to happen to you, I’m just reporting what happened to me. As a writer, blue-blocking lenses have been life-changing for me.
And these glasses are spring-hinged, too, which means they fit every face shape and never go loose.
The plastic used on these glasses is MUCH thicker than the leading brand, so the arms can take a beating, and the lenses don’t smudge anywhere near as easily as the other brand. I’ve been using the same pair for an entire week and have only needed to clean them once. The other brand, by contrast … man, I had to clean those things 2-3 times a day.
Best of all, as of May 2024, these glasses are actually cheaper than the most popular brand on Amazon. I don’t believe they’ll stay at this price point for long though (good products always increase in price after a year on the market), so, I say … stock up. If you think 15 pairs of reading glasses at this price point is a waste of money, you didn’t see what happened to the price of the leading brand over the 4 or 5 years I used them.
This brand is an outstanding value, and I’ll be buying 10 more pairs within the next two weeks.

I bought these inexpensive readers because I wanted to keep them in my cars and several rooms in my house. I ordered the gloss black B2 5-pack on sale for $3.04 each, delivered plus tax. They are very comfortable, with a molded nose bridge that doesn’t slip, and appear to be high quality. The 1.50 magnification is perfect, without distortion.
In addition to the seller’s description, the box included a high quality, small jeweler’s screwdriver with a reversible tip, flat on one end and Philips head on the other. Also in the box were 5 lanyards that attach to the ends of the frame, which is a bit wider so they don’t slip off – a thoughtful touch, but I won’t use them. There’s also a non-scratch microfiber cloth for cleaning.
How long they’ll last will depend on how careful I am with them. The plastic frames are sturdy and slightly flexible.
Overall, an excellent value with no apparent flaws. Highly recommended.

These reading glasses have become the ones that I leave at my desk, or my nightstand, or my work bag, or my vehicle.. they’re light weight, clear, reasonably scratch-proof, and inexpensive enough that when I scratch or misplace a pair or my spouse liberates a pair, no worries.
ONE NOTE: While they’re comfortable to read screens with, they’re reflective. VERY reflective. So if you’re on a video call, the person on the other end can see what’s on my screen. I’m told it’s a clear image 🙂

Each pair of these reading glasses will easily last a few months of daily use. If you lose them or break them, no problem! Just take out the next pair. A pack of five will last over a year.
I bought them for reading and close distance work while I have my contact lenses in. With my contact lenses in, I can only focus on distant objects, which is okay for socializing, driving, outdoor activities and movie theaters. But I need reading glasses for using my laptop, reading, cooking or any other close distance work. It’s great to have them with me to tie fishing line to hooks, read menus etc while wearing contact lenses.
This product is perfect for all the non-hazardous close distance work I do.
I was delighted by their optical quality and their build quality, considering their price.
I ordered the 1.75 diopter strength for a reading, laptop and working distance of about arms length.
Note that these reading glasses are not impact proof. They are not safety glasses, and are not rated as such. You must wear safety glasses over them when working with any eye hazard, e.g. hammering nails, using power tools or any other hazard to your eyes.

i have terrible eyesight 24/7 yet my husband, who only needs these for reading his phone, has lost more readers than all of the prescription glasses and sunglasses i have ever owned in my entire life put together. this is now the third set of multiple readers i have bought him. i think he sensed i was annoyed by this because he was using the last pair of readers he had – it only had one arm on it and i guess he was willing to use one arm readers than confess that he had lost all of his other readers again and that the last pair he had, he sat on. normally i would have let him use his one arm readers but then i thought about us being in a restaurant and him putting them on to read the menu LOL. but i did make him pay for this set instead of me just buying them lol. of course i like that it’s a set of 5 (it’s not a luxury, it’s a necessity lol) and when he tried them on, he said they were fine, they felt great and worked perfectly. he has one of those faces that every pair of glasses just always seem to fit whereas my face is wider, but even when i tried them on, i didn’t feel like they were too tight, they felt fine. not surprisingly, since i purchased these, he’s already lost a pair. he doesn’t use the little cases that come with them, he just sticks them in his pocket, but so far they seem sturdy as they still have both arms. if i am comparing them to readers i personally use when i wear contacts and spent a lot of money on, they are a little less in quality when i hold them in my hands and look at them, but when they are on the face, you cannot tell the difference, they look perfectly fine. and full disclosure, i bought these because $15 was the amount of money he was willing to spend for readers.

I’m so thrilled to have found these reading glasses at such a great price. Nicely packed with five pair of reading glasses, cleaning cloth and a mini blue light tester. Now I have a pair in my office, my purse, the car, and at home! Even an extra if someone forgets their reading glasses at the office. Even though they are inexpensive, they do not look cheap. I will definitely buy these again 100%! Totally satisfied.

They are decent glasses (especially for the price). Optical quality is good, however, I will say that one side of the hinge joint is plastic and while it lasts a decent time, they do end up breaking there. And sometimes the screws back out as they are screwed into plastic as well. Overall ok for the price, but I do think I’ll look elsewhere. Even if it costs me a bit more.

I don’t need Rx glasses, these work well. I go through them about every 3-4 months because they’re not as durable as prescription glasses, but they work well. They do their job and they’re fun.
