This thing is great and easy to use. It has a wide range of sounds that most people should be able to find one that works for their needs. It gets loud to block out noises. It seems built wel. The adjustability of this is great and provides perfect comfort to sleep to.

I purchased this white noise maker to help drowned out my neighbours and their noisy jacuzzi motor, of which they’re oblivious too. So far, it seems to fit the bill quite nicely. It has a multitude of relatively good quality sounds which is coupled with a good speaker. The stylish casing is also very welcome as it can fit in a wide array of different home decor tastes. I’m now considering purchasing a second unit for another area of the house. I would recommend this handy little peace maker!

I’m ordering another one so I don’t have to keep moving this one! Love it!

I moved to a place near a VERY busy highway ( I 40 actually) and was being awakened by the noise. I bought 2 duoni sound machines so I could have a layered sound effect. I have one on white noise as a base noise and I have the other on ” stream” because I find it soothing and variable enough to cover the inconsistent highway noise. I would find it unbearable to be here without my duoni sound machine- I run them during the day if I need to be here. There are plenty of sounds on the duoni that I find soothing- but there are some high frequency ” white noises” that I find to be terrible. Luckily there are I think, over 140 sounds to choose from. ( This is a guesstimate, I can’t remember exactly) Overall HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Liked it so much I sent one to our daughter. Easy to use. Small size so easy to pack. Plenty loud enough.

As someone with chronic insomnia, I’ve been on the market for a white noise machine for quite some time. My old machine was big and didn’t look very nice. And the sound was not ideal.
I picked up the Douni. Packed responsibly in sturdy cardboard, the Douni Sleep Sound machine looks and feels different than any other I’ve seen. With easily the best faux wood grain finish and texture I’ve ever seen, this is a very handsome unit that would look good on any side table… seriously, the pictures don’t do justice, this looks like real wood. It even feels a bit like wood, but without the weight. I quickly was able to get it set up and plugged in with the extra long usb-type power cord that was provided. It’s a small detail, but usually these kinds of machines have short power cords which are awkward to set up.
A short user guide explains the functions of each button, but it’s fairly intuitive. There is a timer function which turns off the sound after a period of time, but it can be disabled so you can run the machine full time, no problem. Volume controls and buttons work well like all Douni products I’ve bought. Three sound selection buttons toggle through the various sounds of each category. I found my favorite sound, “crickets at night” right away. I really like the generous selection of fan sounds and also the noise sounds – white, pink, brown, and other frequencies. The waterfall and creek sounds were also excellent. I’ve made field recordings of nature sounds before myself, I can tell the quality here is unique.
What really sets this one from others I’ve tried though, is the lack of an identifieable loop point: each sound plays naturally, with no odd rhythms. The sense of calm I got from the sounds I tried was much deeper than others I’ve tried. The sound is excellent – the noise and fan sounds have lower frequencies present which help mask outside sounds. There is currently a big road project going on right outside my house, but I found a noise sound which effectively canceled the noise from the trucks and the work going on. Remarkable!
I love how small it is, how sophisticated it looks, and most importantly how it sounds and performs. I’ve had two solid nights of deep sleep so far and I look forward to using it tonight. If I was to suggest anything it might be those light-up buttons which are present on the A7 Bluetooth speaker, since this is used primarily in a dark room. But that is nit-picking, and would likely add to the price of the unit.
This is a simple, elegant, effective noise machine which is more relaxing than others I’ve tried. I definitely recommend it.

I love the DOUNI sound machine. I work from home in an apartment and this noise machine does a great job of drowning out noise from neighbors, traffic, landscapers, etc. It also helps absorb noise from my tv, so it doesn’t disturb my neighbors. I bought one as a housewarming gift for someone who was moving into an apartment. Five stars!

I love this sound machine! It’s compact, easy to use, and I love the sound options! We have ordered many and use them throughout our massage practice. Perfect for creating a soothing atmosphere and cutting out the outside noise.

This machine has a lot of sounds to choose from , but there are only a few I like and find relaxing. Maybe there will only be a few for most people and they will be different for different people, I guess, but I can’t imagine anyone falling asleep to some of them. The other con is that the sound quality is not top notch. On the pro side, it is easy to set a timer to have it on for a half hour, an hour or hour and a half, or continuously. I have found an hour and a half to be perfect for a good nights sleep. The light that shows it is on is tiny and does not really cast much light, so it doesn’t interfere with sleep. The device looks really nice and doesn’t take up too much space. Over all it is helpful, although I question if I could not have gotten a better one for less money. Perhaps my expectations are too high for the sound quality of a fourty nine dollar machine. The sound quality is not terrible but the speaker lacks clarity. It’s way better with earphones, but I don’t want to use those for sleeping.

– Made in China
– Comes with USB to AC adapter
– Has 3mm earphone jack
– 30, 60, 90 min timer, or continuous loop
– Does remember last setting at powerup
– 4 little silicone feetsies that work pretty well
It has a decent range of sounds but there seems to be more deeper sounds than lighter. I was hoping for a nice rainfall, but the only 2 options for that are big sploopy drops or thunderstorm. The latter scares my dogs and the former makes me want to pee, so no joy on that front.
It does, however, have some good fan sounds. One button has them from deep to high pitched. A couple of those middle ones work for me.
Its default-on is a pulsing noise that fascinated me, but does nothing to help me sleep heh. It’s also got what sounds like a smooth car engine that might work for babies.
The case isn’t all that robust, but I don’t suppose it needs to be. It’s ok, not flimsy. It looks fine to me and the controls are easy to use. It is not, however, heavy enough that you can push a button w/o holding the case down.
Overall I’m of the “it’s OK” frame of mind. It’ll depend somewhat on what noises you’re interested in. Since I only care for 2 of them, it’s a 3 star for me. I made a video of the sounds, if that’ll help. They are, in order:
Music note button:
birds chirping
somewhat like ocean waves
big sploopy water drops
Some kind of rhythmic engine, deep
random tune
crickets. many, many crickets
thunderstorm
crackling fire
heavy clock tick
train tracks
Fan button:
7 engine noises? The good car engine is under this button
3rd button:
7 fans, varying pitch
