I mainly use this for period cramps and I like it for that. I do also like it for lower back pain, though that happens less frequently for me. The massaging function is great for my back though. I like the amount of heat it puts off and covers my whole cramp area.

This is a review of CooCoCo Corded Heating Pad for Back with 2 Ice Packs, CooCoCo Electric Heated Pad with Auto-Off, 5 Heating Levels, Wearable Heat Pad.

This is a nice heating pad. It has auto-shutoff (mandatory for heating devices in my household), an easy-to-use controller, a belt to keep it in place, and the option for using cold packs. I am impressed that an extender for the belt is included because not only are people different sizes, but the way a person wants to attach the belt might mean an extender is needed. To wear for lower back, this fits both my partner and I without the extender. It works well.

I ordered this for the heat benefits and just tried out the cold for purposes of this review. But I actually like the cold feature. This belt really keeps the cold in its place, even when I walk around. It’s too bad that controller hangs off. The power cord can be but the controller part remains dangling from the belt. I’ve been tucking the controller into the top of the belt, but a removable controller or at least a thin pocket to put it in would be much better.

So, this works well for both heat and cold, and the dangling controller can be dealt with.

The heating pad is 24 watts on the “high” setting (5 out of 5) and comes with a 12-volt, 2 ampere power adapter. This means it takes a while to warm up compared to other models. Lighted controller features count-down timer for six settable durations (0.5, 1, 2, …, 5 hours). Fits waists up to about 46 inches (i’m using an arbitrary overlap of the hook-and-loop fastener, similar to Velcro), but it comes with ~ 12 inch extension if your waist circumference is larger.
The instruction manual includes warning about “recommended massage time” and gives other massage warnings under the headings “safety” and “care and maintenance”, suggesting to me that it was poorly edited because there is no massage feature. What other errors are there? what was omitted editing the massager manual to create a heating pad manual?
Have not tried the ice pack feature, but some of the safety warnings include warning not to get the heating pad wet, and even in my dry New Mexico climate, there is condensation on ice packs after they are removed from the freezer. Kind of hard not to get it wet when you insert the ice packs, fellows.
For use as a heating pad, modestly recommended. For use as ice pack holder, might run counter to safety instructions.
Would probably not buy again but would try another model.

This belt is bulky and cumbersome and would likely only be used around the home. Having said that, once you have mastered the rather awkward extension piece, it is really comfortable and very effective, especially when seated on my couch (although I will also wear it when washing the dishes, since this is when low back pain bothers me the most).
My one and only criticism does relate however to the length of the belt and the weird way the extension piece functions. The former is way too short to go round all but the smallest waists, whilst the connection velcro pieces on the belt and extension are organised in the most unsynchronised fashion, so that once you figure them out, you wind up with flappy pieces at both ends. Accept that situation, and the rest works like a charm.

This heating pad comes with a number of useful features that make it a bit better than other heating pads I have owned. Most importantly, it uses velcro to hold it in place, which is great for focused heating/cooling–my wife uses it while working and the velcro fasteners keep it where she wants it (primarily on her lower back) while sitting in an office chair for hours at a time.

It also shuts off automatically, can be swapped out easily with provided cold pads, and has multiple heat settings.

Overall, this is a great heating pad that we will use for a long time.

The first impression was that the design is slick and well-thought of. The pad provides both a heating pad and cold therapy to cover everything you need. It is a compact-sized pad that covers a large variety of applications in one. You can easily wrap the pad around the area and go about your daily things. It is super convenient to use this device. It has 5 different levels of heat and different timing options to shut it off automatically to not burn your skin. The heating pad can sufficiently get warm but does not get super-hot either.

As for the cold side, it comes with two ice packs that you have to freeze and then insert them in pockets of wrap. Last point is that everything can be controlled easily with the remote than has only a few buttons. It is super practical for muscle recovery.

Overall, this is a wonderful pad for athletes or if you have frequent pain or recovery issues and want something portable. I would definitely recommend this to everyone due to how convenient it is to use it.

I have a back injury and I use it faithfully! It works very good and it is not one that has the balls inside that do the hard massage. It does not hurt and the heat is a bonus. My son uses it for his neck. Back and shoulders!

This is a review of the cordless CooCoCo heating pad with massager.

The heating pad is rather large and bulky. I have the cordless version (note there are two versions in this listing, one that hast to be plugged in to work and one that is cordless). There is a additional “extension” provided with this heating pad/belt, so it fits a wide variety of people, and can be used different ways.

The heating pad has 2 settings (1&2). In this cordless version I find that even at the higher setting, I wish it was a bit warmer. Perhaps the corded version is warmer, but I do not think this cordless version reaches 140 oF. The vibration massager has three different settings – a continuous vibration, a faster setting the alternates between off and on every few seconds, and another setting that alternates between even a faster vibration and then a slow, gentle vibration every few seconds. Finally there is a setting for 15, 20 and 30 minutes runtime.

The cordless version is convenient from the perspective of not needing to be near an electrical receptacle. The battery is built into the device so cannot be removed to charge or replaced without disassembly. There is also no indicator of charge on the belt. The LED indicator of charge is built into the wall-wart charger so in order to tell if it is charged you have to be able to see the plugin.

More often than not, I have back pain in my upper back below the shoulder blade (although at times I do have lower back pain as well). I was hoping this would work when slung over the shoulder as well as when worn around the waist. The additional extension band does help one to wear it this way, but the width of the band makes it press into your neck and not comfortable to wear this way for very long.

At time of writing this has a $20 dollar off coupon making this a good buy. It works well and is convenient so I am giving this 4 stars. I do it wish it reached a warmer temperature however. If you like a “milder” heating pad, this would be a good choice.

I appreciate that this belt is well constructed. It is soft and thick material that can fit a smaller person to someone that may need more coverage, up to fifty-nine inches (using a belt extension). I charged this belt for almost three hours to go cordless. You can also just plug this belt into the wall for immediate use. I liked that this belt was more plush than other heating/massage belts. It really was comfortable to wear. The controller is easy to use and it tucks into the belt to stay out of the way. There are three adjustments for the massage mode and three adjustments for the timer (15, 20, 30 minutes). The heat mode on this belt has two modes, that gives you from 116 degrees to 140 degrees. I found that the heat felt good, heats fast and I wished that it had another slightly hotter selection for me. I found that this belt worked out really well for my stiff back. It is easy to use. It did heat quickly and it is quiet in this mode. You will experience some noise when you use the massage mode, because of all of the moving massagers. I really liked this quality belt, it did what it states it will do for you.

I like the heat and vibration and that it is recharged but it is a bit too bilky

I’ve been dealing with back pain for years after the birth of my children and using this daily has been such a relief for pain. The value is great, I don’t use it with the pads maybe I will but using it alone has helped me. I have been consistent, it goes off itself, it has control settings with a reasonable battery life. Only thing, this isn’t mobile so I use this after my work at night. The vibration level is minimal. I highly recommend it.

This belt is large and very cushioned, which makes it super cosy and somewhat more supportive. The fact that it is so cushioned also makes it bulky, so even if the belt can be used independently without being attache to a power outlet , it is ok for use only at home, because it is too bulky.
The belt would fit persons who are small to large as is, and for those bigger ether is an extra belt piece to make it larger. The supplementary piece attaches with Velcro connectors to the main part.

The belt has 2 heat setting the maximum being 140F. I do not have the tools to test how hot my belt gets but honestly I think that mine does not get that hot. I wish I would be a little warmer.

The massage is vibrational and it is relaxing but not necessarily very helpful. It is also quite loud.

The weird thing about this belt is that the power bank is incorporated into the belt and so one has to charge THE belt, rather than just one battery.

The belt is very cushioned and comfortable , so much that sometimes I fell asleep with it around my body. I am glad that the remote has a timer setting.

This is helpful and relaxing, and I appreciate the possibility the walk around the home and use it, as well as the extra belt length for bigger people.

I wish that the belt would warm up some more.
