Buyers beware – the product description is misleading. When you buy the mattress here, it is NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY unless you buy it from dreamfoam bedding, which is not the default seller. The 10 year warranty automatically offered from Brooklyn Bedding has to be bought here. It is also not covered for free returns.
I should have heeded the warning of other reviewers, but prior to buying my mattress I called both Amazon and Brooklyn Bedding. Both parties I spoke with assured me the warranty was still valid, so I went ahead and bought on Amazon for the faster shipping.
After my purchase I also called Amazon and Brooklyn Bedding again multiple times to confirm whether or not my mattress was covered under warranty. I reached support agents who were clueless and could not help me. Just a waste of time.
Turns out if you want to return a mattress you bought on Amazon, you would have to pay a restocking fee of $150 and pay $60 for them to come pick it up.
Save yourself the headache and buy directly from Brooklyn Bedding.
* MATTRESS REVIEW 4.5 STARS *
Note my 1-star review above is for the purchase process and not the mattress itself. I bought the mattress on the recommendation of a friend who swears by it. I would buy it again and recommend it to my friends too.
The mattress is very comfortable. Unlike some other memory foam mattresses that I feel like I’m sinking into, the Brooklyn Bedding one has a nice balance of springiness with the foam softness. 4.5 stars instead of 5 since the medium might be a little soft for my taste, so I had wanted to exchange it for a firm.

Even though this is a bed-in-a-box item, it is very thick in depth like a store mattress. I got a soft one–you can select your firmness level. It cradles the body. Best mattress ever. The edges are very firm, so you can sit on the edge of the bed and not slide or roll off. Motion transfer is good too. You can move around on one side while the other side stays still. Also, it “inflated” immediately–no waiting a day for it to get to its proper size. No drawbacks, really, just heavy when trying to lift it onto the bed frame and remove the wrapping. A two-man job. Took me 45 minutes to do it myself. Overall, it’s a great product.

There is stupid soft and sensible soft. This is sensible. I don’t sink into it. It doesn’t become some expensive hammock. My body adjusts so it seems my spine is kept straight, therefore hips and shoulders are a bit lower due to the sensible softness. My extensive research indicated this brand’s soft was made especially for people like me, a side sleeping slightly overweight grandma with back and hip issues. Sleepoplis does excellent reviews. As do Amazon customers. I am finding this a perfect mattress for my needs. Perfect. Very fearful of not trying it first, but grew to trust professional reviewers with nothing to gain. The delivery guy helped me get it into the house. Opened very carefully as it is wrapped in layers of plastic and it just popped up. No odor. None at all. Let it sit there then slept on it that night. I would buy this again in a minute. No doubts at all.

Update 7/26/2020: 2 months later and this mattress is still awesome. We’ve never slept better (as a couple) and are so happy that we took the plunge and bought this. No problems yet, but will be sure to update again.
5/17/2020: This mattress arrived 2 days ago (in a box that looked like it had gone through the 9 circles of hell but the mattress was, thankfully, unscathed due to the plastic wrap job). It’s only been 2 days but we LOVE this mattress. Firm but not TOO firm – like a 7 on the firmness scale (I weigh 130lbs so it might feel softer to someone heavier). Much better than our previous pillow top mattress/sauna oven that cooked us into a sweaty mess every night. This bed has kept us cool and comfortable. My body is a little sore when I wake up but that’s expected when sleeping on new mattresses. And sleeping is great – I can’t feel my husband thrashing around anymore and, also, once we fall asleep WE BOTH SLEEP HARD.
I will be sure to update in a few months!!!

Wow this is a nice mattress. I got the medium firmness twin and it’s perfect for me at 5’8″ 150lbs. Nice and soft but still supportive. I’ve only slept a couple nights on it but it’s a huge improvement over the old boxspring I had. No more pain in my back, neck, and shoulders when waking up. Edge support seems a little lacking but it hasn’t caused me any problems. Overall I would say this mattress is well worth the money for the improved comfort. If you’re heavier or like a firmer mattress I would opt for the firm, but for me medium is perfect. I can’t imagine using the soft without sinking into it but different strokes for different folks.
