Our new mattress came a little early and we set it up and it was ready to enjoy same night. We have had it now for almost a week and it is amazing! We replaced it with another mattress that we bought only about 2 years ago, that began to sag in the middle. This Plank mattress appears to be super firm and likely will not sag like other mattresses. Very happy so far with this purchase!

After having back issues, I finally broke down and purchased a (very expensive) Tempurpedic mattress a year ago which started out fairly firm, but softened up quite a bit after about 6 or 7 months. Looking at reviews online for firm mattresses, this Brooklyn Bedding Plank mattress seemed to always be at the top of every list. The price was quite reasonable and so I thought I’d give it a try, and I am so glad that I did. I have had it for one month now, and it is perfect. This is one dang firm mattress! And it feels so good.
It might be too firm for some, but for me it is just right. It actually has two firmness levels depending on which side you use. There is firm side and a ultra firm side. The firm side wasn’t quite firm enough for me, but the ultra firm side does the trick and my back feels so much better now! I am really very grateful for this mattress!!

Update: It has been 3.5 years since we are using this mattress and I still love it and highly recommend. Does not sink and we are very happy with this purchase. We bought this mattress for our guest bedroom too.
Side note: The extra firm side is really firm and comfort depends on personal choice. We like extra firm side of the mattress too.

Exactly what I was looking for. The mattress is very comfortable and soft but doesn’t sink in, so there is no strain on my back. I am side, stomach and, at times, back sleeper and weigh 100 lbs, yet I found the firm side perfect for me. My husband was initially hesitant as this mattress is advertised as extremely firm one, but, now, he wants to buy this mattress even for our guest bedroom. We have not tried the extra firm side. You can compare this mattress firmness to a comfortable Indian mattress. Extremely happy with the purchase. Highly recommend this mattress.

Overall this mattress is firm. I just received it and it is firm for your back and you can tell it will be a long last mattress. If you are struggling to look for a supportive, easy set up and non smelling mattress I would recommend. If you are a side sleeper, just be cautious due to it being firm. But overall I am happy with this mattress and feel good about the purchase!

Love it!! The only thing that does not work is that the top surface material is very slick, we found ourselves sliding around while sleeping and just a bit too firm bordering on hard!!! A 3″ memory foam topper solved both issues.

If you have to return this item for any reason then it is very difficult as you will have to drop it off at the location on your own.It is a very heavy mattress to do it in on your own.
