- 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: For best results, your pillow insert should be larger than your sham to correctly fill the corners of the pillow cover, this will provide a very attractive firm and fluffy look to your sham, we recommend to place our inserts in shams that are 1″ or 2″ smaller than the pillow, It would depend on the thickness of the sham, a thick fabric would need a 2″ larger insert to keep it fluffed, a more lighter fabric would need a 1″ lager insert.

if you want down and full pillow inserts, I recommend this brand. Nice quality. Be sure to measure your pillow cover and as they recommend, buy pillow insert in larger size. Wish I had a before and after picture but didn’t take a before. Pillow looks so much better. Insert is not cheap but worth for quality look and also to upcycle a pillow cover you love that just needs a refresh.

I have several down pillow inserts from Ikea, Pottery Barn, and other sellers. IMO, these are heavy, full, and of higher quality than lower price options. Very nice cotton covers. Love that they are made in the USA as well. Worth the cost to me.
For an overstuffed look and feel, buy the insert one size larger than the cover. If you like them softer, and more squishy, then buy the insert the same size.

I am so impressed with these Decorative Throw Pillow Insert, Down and Feathers Fill, 100% Cotton Cover 233 Thread Count. I started by buying a waterproof pillow inserts on Amazon for my garden bench, which were horrible. I returned the bad ones, and bought these, which are EXCELLENT. Now I want to replace all my pillows with these inserts. LUXURIANT pillows, CUSHY, super COMFORTABLE. I bought the 22×22 insert for my pillow 20×20 and am very satisfied. I live in Marin County and plan to bring the pillows inside during the winter when it rains. I love the cotton shell and that it’s MADE IN AMERICA (not China, like my previous pillows I returned). The packaging was also very nice; the pillow inserts plumped up immediately. Highly recommended!!!
