The best all LAYTEX mattress ever! Good for back pain. Took a while for the smell to go away though. I had to get a topper for my side because it’s still a little stiff. We got a split king size and it’s so big! Sleep quality is great though.

This is simply one of the best, pure all natural latex, mattresses available in my opinion. I love the fact that this mattress is flippable and that one side is nice and firm. You will not sink. The other side is slightly softer. Both sides offer great support. This mattress will arrive compressed and when we unboxed it and put it in place I removed the platic and it unrolls with the firm side up. It took hardly no time at all for the mattress to take on it’s full size and dementions. I was impressed in that there was no off gasing and since there are no nasty potentially harmful chemicals used in the making of this mattress off gasing is not a problem.

Bought this in a twin for my kid and holy wow I wish my latex mattress was this amazing. I’ve had to invest in wool toppers for mine and it cost a lot more than these do in the same size. It’s so perfectly soft but not too soft. It’s not super firm like mine. It’s the 9″ thickness and it’s the perfect size. There was a slight odor upon opening but was gone in hours. This is really an amazing mattress glad I chose this over another 6″ that was mostly all the same eco specs.

The mattress (twin XL) is 106 pounds according to the label on the bed (and on how it felt when I carried it) vs. the advertised 75 pounds in the description on Amazon (41% more than advertised). I wouldn’t have bought the mattress if the seller/manufacturer (S/M) had disclosed the true weight.
Within minutes of unwrapping the mattress, the room smelled bad (should natural latex smell that bad?). I moved the mattress to the garage, which was difficult, because of the weight and because the mattress has no consistency, and bends and folds in all directions. After a few days in the garage (and turning it once), the mattress didn’t smell anymore.
On Amazon the S/M claims that the sides of the mattress are marked according to firmness (in one of the answers). There are no markings. The firmness of both sides seems the same, but using a weighted hamper and a straightedge, I determined that one side is much more giving (the hamper sank much more) than the other side.
Because of the two aforementioned (let’s called them) misinformations by the SM, the fact the S/M claims that bed is made with all natural latex and with no harmful chemicals means nothing to me. For all I know, the mattress may be synthetic, and may give off harmful fumes for a long time. At best, the SM has used poor judgment. IF – the mattress is truly made of natural latex – the price is excellent. The SM could afford to raise the price, improve the latex mix to make the mattress lighter, mark the sides of the mattress according to firmness, and keep/ventilate the mattress in the factory post manufacture for a few days to remove the smell.
I would have returned the mattress, but one of my kids, who is staying over for two weeks, was about to arrive, and I doubted I would have had enough time to buy another mattress that conforms as well to an electric bed (and because, as you may have found out, it’s difficult shopping for a latex mattress). My daughter, by the way, likes the mattress a lot.
I highly value honesty and logic. All considered, I regret buying the mattress.

I have multiple pain diagnoses and this latex mattress is very comfortable. More than I expected. The only problem is that it is warm, even with a fluffy mattress pad. I am going to add a second one to see if that helps.

I did much research before I bought. All beds way over priced, this no exception. NOT AT ALL A FIRM MATTRESS!. I am 250lbs and I go to to bottom, regardless of which side I try. I see no difference . No markings or openings on the mattress cover to tell for sure. Probably no removal of cover to find out because it auto void warranty, no returns right? Anyway, this bed is not firm but a med at best. Either side. Would return it but will cost me too much to send it back. Giving my extreme rural location.

I’m a side and back sleeper, and on a tall/heavier side, with some back problems that go away when I sleep on the right surface. I spent most of my sleeping life on futons, and had decided to upgrade some time ago, but have not found a mattress with the similar right combination of firm support and cushy top I need to be comfortable in my price range yet.
I ordered this mattress based on the fact that the two sides have different firmness, medium and firm, hoping that I’ll find the side that works well for me. Unfortunately, the medium side is still quite hard – as firm as the hard mattresses from some of the other vendors I tried.
The mattress arrived well packed in a reasonably small roll (it’s quite heavy), it filled up quickly and had no unpleasant odors. A mild smell of latex dissipated within a couple of days. Materials, cover and seams are very well made.
Alas, neither side was soft enough, and I kept waking up with painful shoulders and quite a bit of back pain, and had to give it up. This would be a great mattress for someone who likes lots of support of a hard mattress, it’s just not for me.

Bought a 9″ full size for my daughter. It was packaged well and barely had any “new smell.” She let it air out all day before putting her sheets & blankets on. She wanted a firm mattress and is extremely happy with her new latex mattress! It is very springy and you have NO problem getting up off the bed (unlike my pillowtop mattress) and it offers great support on the firm side. Now, my husband is looking to get us one for our room!! It’s really a nice mattress with a well-made covering. We’re expecting it to last for many, many years.
