Overall solid monitor but the battery life isn’t great. 3-4 hours max off the charge.

This unit is better than I thought it would be. It takes a couple minutes to do the initial sample, and then it continuously monitors the air. It also tracks the temperature and humidity. I have taken it around my house to test different areas, and we seem to be good. I have also taken it to the office because the air seems bad, but apparently it isn’t as bad as we thought. Good to know I’m not being poisoned at work!

We picked this up to keep an eye on the air quality in our workshop. We’ve put some work into insulating it and making it heatable in the winter, and sealing it from the elements means that we might also be sealing things that we don’t want to be breathing inside with us. We have smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in there, but this gives quite a bit more information in a small package. It’s easy to use, just plug it in and turn it on. It has a rechargeable internal battery that’s good for about four hours, but we leave it plugged in all the time so we can check it at a glance. There’s a little stand if you want to use it on your desk or a shelf, but we just attached it to the wall with the keystone hanger on the back. Apparently the workshop isn’t well sealed enough yet, ( or isn’t going to be a problem ) because all the readings are in the green. This may change in the winter when the door is closed most of the time and we’re heating it. For now, the temperature / humidity sensors are the most useful items and they match closely to what our other sensor reads. I like that it’ll beep to let you know if there’s a problem with the air quality. The display is bright and easy to read. I hope that I don’t ever really need it, but it’s good to know that it’s there and will let me know if there’s a problem.
