i have to charge my smart watch at night and i always wanted a device to monitor my sleep. i thought this ring would be bulky and heavy, but it is neither. i love it. it takes an accurate measure of my sleep habits, my steps, my heartrate, etc. im impressed with how long the battery lasts on this ring. and compared to its much more expensive competitor, this ring is well worth the price. im impressed with this ring. i love the gold color that i chose and i love that it is gender-neutral. i do wish there was a gps-powered location feature on the ring because i set it down somewhere in my house and couldn’t find it until the next afternoon. other than that, i highly recommend this ring.

  2. Not Who You Expect

There are a few things this ring seems to do reasonably well, others it does poorly. It is certainly NOT a satisfactory all-around fitness tracker. At best, it fills in some gaps that something like an Apple Watch, Garmin device or Fitbit might require an additional subscription (or in the case of the Apple Watch – resolution of a law suit) to cover.
Getting it to pair/register with the Q-Ring app was a pain and the included instructions were useless about how best to accomplish this. I still don’t know how I got it to pair but it eventually did.
I’ve had good luck with the battery on mine – I only need to recharge once every 7 days, though the low-battery warning doesn’t work. My battery went all the way to zero without any sort of alert appearing.
I have it set to take Blood Ox Hourly, Pulse and Stress readings every 30 minutes and it measures sleep patters at night.
One thing I find frustrating it that there is no provided information on what the “Stress” reading is actually measuring so I have no idea if it’s actually a useful measure of anything. The numbers change a bit throughout the day and I suppose there is some correlation to when I’m feeling more stress and higher stress readings but it has never registered a number outside the “normal” range so I don’t know what that means.
The sleep analysis is interesting if it’s accurate. It seems consistent with my overall perception of my sleep patterns but I don’t have any alternative data against which to make a comparison.
The one thing I actually find useful is that it measures Blood Oxygen. My Apple Watch is too new for that. That feature is disabled due to a court ruling. I recently had a checkup and compared the ring reading simultaneously with the measure at my Doctor’s office and they were identical so possibly that reading is reasonably accurate.
The device is almost useless as an exercise monitoring device. It lists a vast array of activities but for all of them it only measures Heart Rate and Calories and you have to have your phone handy to click “start” when you begin your workout and “stop” when you’re finished. This might be ok for some workouts, though it’s less convenient than a wearable device should be, but how do I use it for lap swimming? (several types of swimming are on the menu). Do I leave my phone on the pool deck right at the end of the lane and hope no one walks off with it? Do I trust that it’s as waterproof as Apple claims? How about open-water swimming? I think you get my point. Any sort of exercise monitoring requires your phone be right there to start and stop. This isn’t how a “wearable” exercise monitoring device should work.
I tried swimming laps with the ring on but without starting a workout on my phone. It counted the swimming strokes as steps (not surprising I suppose but very incorrect).
Also, the ring incorrectly counts steps anyway. The count is always far off from my Apple Watch which I trust to be far more accurate for reasons that should be obvious.
If you already use a wearable fitness device for exercise tracking and want some missing data filled in without paying for subscription apps this ring might work for you, or if you just care about heart rate, blood oxygen and sleep pattern this ring might be worth considering, but even at the current lower price of $60 I struggle to recommend it because even though it’s working well enough for me others struggled to pair it and it was certainly not easy for me.

Works great! And easy to use. Good value
and very versatile! Makes a good gift About 3 to 4 day battery life 👍🏻

I got myself this smart ring, and surprisingly enough it works well. It tracks activities, but I just used it for my steps tracking, but along with that, it also tracks sleeping patterns, BPM and stress levels.

There is one issue with it I tried to register the ring, but it doesn’t allow you. I’ve tried over and over on the app, and it just proceeds to shut off, I even wrote them and email and there was no reply, and the battery life only lasts for 3 days at best… Negative two stars for these factors. It will die faster and faster instead of getting better. I wouldn’t purchase this ring or anything from them.

I will admit that it is a good-looking ring, almost like a real wedding band and I haven’t had any issues washing my hands with it or showing with it on. It is fairly accurate, so it has that much going for it, and it is reasonably priced and easy to use along with a proper fit. I asked for a 9 and got that exactly.

Ive had this product for some time now. I tried to reach out to customer service in regards to the ring not working. Some parts will track while other parts will not. It supposedly was to have a way to connect google fit, but the customer service person told me that there is a reason as to why it won’t connect. I explained and asked if I was doing something wrong, and he stated that this ring is not recommended to do that. Also, the feature to take pictures where you shake it to take something doesn’t work. Does it work to a specific extent with heart rate, stress, activity for your steps yes. But you have to make sure you are wearing it properly obviously to be able to get it recorded. When you select “go” on the activity to track what you need to do, it doesn’t do it all the time. So it will be recorded in your daily steps. But it doesn’t do it when its swimming and not walking. I reached out 2-3 times and they told me to reinstall the ring app but it didn’t work properly still. They sent me a new ring, and I tried to reconnect it again. For the price that it is, and for what it actually does it’s not worth it. I’m upset because I can’t get a refund and waste of money purchasing an item that doesn’t fully do what it says.

This ring is exactly as described. The app was easy to download and I have had no trouble with it or the performance of the ring. It is comfortable to wear and tracks my steps along with my Apple Watch. I’m still getting used to the sleep tracking and figuring that out. A+ in my experience.

***Update…I have to report that although it works well, the finish has work off and it looks rough. That makes me sad.

Oh man, I really had high hopes for this one.

    A cool tech gadget? Check
A Sleep Tracking, Health & Fitness widget that’s not on my wrist? Check
Easy to use required App? Nope.
Decent to Okay build material? Definitely not.

This item goes under the cool idea but fails to impress category. The reality is that the build material really feels not great, light and fragile, and this ring really doesn’t feel worth it for the price value.
