It’s a little more firm than expected. I’m sure it will soften a little over time and If it isn’t soft enough I’m probably just going to get a mattress topper to soften it up a little more.
It does smell a little bit but, after a few days it is starting to disappear. Overall I give it 4 stars for durability and comfort.

As a person with very limited income, I did a bunch of looking and needed a good mattress for the best price I could find, within reason. Like so many other folks, I of course hesitate to purchase a bed without first trying it, and the 100-night trial of this mattress is a huge positive. I actually contacted another seller/manufacturer to inquire about the possibility of more than a 30-day period and although I thanked them for responding, they pretty defiantly refused anything more, quoting their “policy” to me. Obviously they didn’t want my business, and probably not yours, either. I’ve had my new 14″ IULULU queen mattress for about a month, and my back pain is finally getting better – no kidding. I always raise an eyebrow at all those reviewers who claim something like this but for me, it’s working fantastically! It’s so comfortable that I plop down at night and don’t want to move, and don’t want to move in the morning, either! Should the quality degrade at a rate which ends up being disappointing, I’ll update. To this point, I’m very glad I grabbed this while the price is competitive, and still has the awesome 100-day trial. Should you purchase, my suggestion/experience is that, even though it’s been very comfortable for me right away, it’s taken almost a month for my body to react. Love this thing! Hope this helps. r-
