I don’t know why, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve had a much harder time sleeping. I can usually fall asleep fast enough, but staying asleep has become a real burden.
I’ve tried just about everything out there. I tried Sleep Fairy because it’s the one that didn’t have antihistamines in it. I don’t wanna take benedryl every night to help me sleep, that can’t be safe long term. So my plan was to take two different sleep aids, swap them every other night. Sleep Fairy was gonna be the ticket, at least I thought. To be fair, it gets me sleepier than on my own, but leaves me waking up around 5am vs 3am on my own, so that’s why 2 stars. But there is only one thing that gets me sleeping like a baby all night after EVERYTHING I’ve tried. CBD
I’ve never done any drug in my life, but a few months ago tried CBD at night to help me sleep, and boy does it. They sell it with melatonin in it too, but that DOESN’T help me sleep, just CBD does. I take the FiveCBD full spectrum gummies, two before bed, and wow I get a full night of sleep without issue. I guess I’ll just start taking those every single night, no swapping to something else.
Sleep Fairy DOES make me groggy, but doesn’t keep me asleep, perhaps it will you.

I thought this would help me sleep better. It did do that but the effect lasted into the next day when I took two. The next time I took only one, but also was mentally impaired…just could not think clearly. Also, this product cannot be returned so if you don’t like it you will not get your money back.
I would not recommend this product.

So, I don’t know how many people that are reading this review are actually reading it because Schiff discontinued their ENTIRE Melatonin line and if like me, you’d been taking it FOR MANY, MANY YEARS, you are growing more and more desperate to find a replacement……well, I don’t know if that made sense, but… the point is that I have tried a handful of other products since Schiff discontinued the Melatonin product I had been taking for over 6 or 7 years and until now, I had not found anything that came close to the sleep I was getting with my discontinued sleep aid. I was DEVASTATED when they discontinued it without any warning! IT WAS CRUEL! Anyway, I’ve really tried several other Melatonin supplements that have “similar” ingredients to the Schiff formula, but NOTHING HAS COME CLOSER THAN SLEEP FAIRY!
MAJOR PERSONAL DISCLOSURE/DISCLAIMER: I suffer from severe chronic pain in my upper and lower back and I take a ridiculous cocktail of medications that may or may not add to the effects of this sleep aid. In particular, I take 1mg of Klonopin/Clonazepam which my doctor prescribed to help knock me out since I cannot manage to fall asleep on my own due to the level of pain I’m in ALL THE TIME. So basically, I cannot fall asleep naturally. However, the Clonazepam is just the initial knock-out for me – that’s it’s only purpose/job – to knock me out. In order to STAY asleep, I take melatonin supplements – which after a very long time of trying many different sleep aids, I settled on Schiff’s Melatonin Ultra which I used for almost 7 years until they discontinued it at some point in 2018. Since then, I have tried about 5 different options over a period of several months (basically, one month each), and this is the first one that actually helps me get back to sleep if I wake up from the pain in the middle of the night or if I wake up to just use the bathroom – but I am actually able to get back into bed and just fall asleep within minutes again. It’s almost as if I was back on the Schiff product.
My only negative about this, which is why I am giving it 4 stars, is that it makes me want to stay in bed A LOT longer than usual (for those that have a fixed sleep schedule, which I don’t, I’d say that this would be the equivalent of you feeling groggy at the time you’re supposed to get up in the morning. What’s crazy to me is that I only take ONE CAPSULE instead of the recommended TWO CAPSULES!!! My sleep schedule is all sorts of messed up though so I don’t know if it has more to do with Sleep Fairy’s interaction with the colossal cocktail of medications I take every night OR if it is indeed a bit stronger than the 6mg (2 tablets) I’d take of the Schiff Melatonin Ultra. If the Sleep Fairy capsules are exactly the same in composition, then you can assume that the 2 capsules which equal 5mg of Melatonin would mean that the formula, cut in half if you take just one capsule like me, would leave you with 2.5mg of Melatonin which is somehow much more effective than the 6mg I had to take with Schiff’s product. Sleep Fairy definitely has the right combination of sleep-enhancing and mind-calming/soothing supplements though because it is hands down the absolute closest I’ve gotten to the formula my body was so accustomed to with Schiff’s product (AND FOR THAT I AM SO GRATEFUL!) Sleep is SO IMPORTANT! I will say though that if my body doesn’t adjust after a couple of months of taking this and I still feel a bit too sleepy or groggy after taking just one capsule, I’ll either 1) empty out a little of the capsule so it’s not as strong or 2) keep looking for the perfect match to Schiff’s Melatonin Ultra (which will be impossible! I’m still incredibly furious that they would just do that and not give customers any warning! Then add that to the cruel people who are trying to sell whatever stock they have left for HUNDREDS of dollars! WHO DOES THAT?!?!!…… But I digress…..
OVERALL: I would tell anyone that is maybe a bit “iffy” or unsure about this product and isn’t too sure whether they want to give it a try or not, to at least give it a shot – give it a couple of weeks as I have (I’ve been using it since December 18th until last night January 10th and I’m very, very pleased with it. OH! And most importantly – Do yourself a favor and just start off with ONE CAPSULE instead of TWO and see how it works for you. Only take 2 if the 1 doesn’t do it for you. I haven’t dared take 2 capsules seeing as 1 capsule surprisingly does the trick for me. Lol, with as much sleep as I want after taking just one, if I were to take the recommended dosage of 2 capsules, I’d sleep a full 20 hours before thinking of getting out of bed. =) But again, this is MY experience with the product and I also take a bunch of other medications that interact differently with it so my recommendation would be for you to give it a try and come to your own conclusions – but I honestly would say it is worth a shot!

I have used Sleep Fairy off & on for 3 years or so. When I feel the need, this is my ‘go to’ product.
I would recommend starting with 1 pill for a few nights, to see how your body responds. I have never had stomach issues as some report. I eat very healthy, so perhaps that helps. I am never groggy the next morning. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I go right back to sleep. I love the herbal ingredients. I don’t think you will regret giving Sleep Fairy a try. She will be your best friend during those times of added stress.

I really feel like this helps me sleep. It makes me feel drowsy about 20 – 30 minutes after I take it, and I fall asleep pretty easily after. It also seems to help me stay asleep pretty well – I do wake up to pee at night, but I fall asleep easily after the fact.

I take these every night about 20 minutes before I want to go to sleep. I absolutely love them. I drift off and sleep a good solid 6 to 7 hours. Which is awesome for me
ANGIE GREENE –
This is amazing! I’ve tried so many things to sleep. I’ve taken multiple prescriptions and lots of natural supplements but nothing worked. This works so well. I fall asleep and stay asleep.

All the right natural ingredients but it didn’t work for me maybe it kicks in after a couple of doses wide awake for hours after taking it back to restless nights
