Smells like a bar of soap
Ok, at first I was excited. The box smelt like lavender and I thought I made a good purchase. This is going into a basket for a friend that had a double mastectomy. I took this out of the box to place in the basket and it smells like soap. Its quite strong, but literally smells like your run of the mill soap bar. Ill still give it to her because I dont have time to return it, but she wont ever burn this. Pretty sad because it is very cute.

Wick is to short
I love this brand, recently discovered it and have 3 or four if the candles for it. BUT, this one came with an extremely short wick, and I had to pull it from the bottom to be able to burn it, which means I will probably wind up having to scoop out any left over wax to use in a candle warmer. Really upset about this.

Smell!
This is the most delightful candle that I’ve ever smelled! It has lavender in it and it even has lavender flowers in it which really makes it look good when you burn the wick I enjoy this candle and the lid on it smells fantastic. I’ll pick the lid up in the daytime and just smell it and I just love it.

I should have looked more closely
I saw the cute saying on the side of this candle holder and immediately ordered it for a family member who will be having surgery next week. Had I looked more closely and realized the saying is just a sticker on the side of the ceramic holder, I wouldn’t have bothered. Frankly, I ignored the candle part because she doesn’t even like scented candles. The scent, without burning, is not particularly pleasant. I boxed it back up and put it on a shelf across the room and for about 5 minutes could still smell it. I will not be giving it to anyone. Very disappointed. (I threw it out a few days later because the scent was still bothering me.)

UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW:The seller was very responsive to this issue. They took care of it quickly. I will purchase from this company again.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This candle had a very strong, attractive scent when I opened the box.When burning, however, the scent was very light. It did not fill the room. It produced a weak but pleasing scent when standing close to the burning candle. If you got very close to the jar, and took a whiff, it only had the scent of burning wax.The candle’s scent was supposed to be BALSAM & CEDAR -Cedar | Cinnamon | Vanilla| Cypress.The only individual scent that comes through, IMO, is the balsam. I like balsam, so that was not an issue.Oddly, the box still holds a strong scent. If the candle’s scent was a strong as the scent from the box, I would have been very happy with this candle, but at their price, I expected better scent throw.If you like a barely noticeable mildly scented candle, and some people do, then this is the candle for you.

TL;DR Just don’t buy this unless you want it as a decoration. It looks cute but as a candle it’s a waste of money and a literal fire hazard.This is a candle. A candle is meant to be lit. Why then do you put flammable products in the candle. They even include a sticker on the candle itself telling you to remove the things on top before lighting it!The problem is that it’s not just on top of the wax. No, these bits they include in the candle are buried inside the wax itself.If the material was easy to remove (or better yet non-flammable) I’d just be disappointed. This is just a waste.Scent: 7/10Functionality: 2/10

Humor and great scent
This candle is cute. I bought it for my husband on an anniversary. He loves candles and I love the saying. He truly is stuck with me and so I thought it fit well. It’s cute with the hearts on top, kind of looks like the candy hearts for Valentine’s Day. The scent isn’t all that bad and can fill the room pleasantly.
