I bought this light therapy box to use in the winter. The size was right, and it seemed very stable. However, I found it difficult to use electronically. I had difficult understanding the directions. And there was no on off button that I could tell. I did like the fact that it had a battery.

I bought to use in hospital – 12 days in an interior ward with no windows! It is so light and portable. I am so glad I bought the cordless version. Hospital rooms often have plugs in strange places. I have a long USB cord that stretches anywhere, I can charge it and then take it with me whenever. It is lightweight and quite sturdy. Just needs a proper, stiff on/off switch. It turns on in the drawer by accident very easily. A great choice!

This is really easy to use. I turn it out about two feet away while I get ready in the morning. I’m trying to get healthier and have noticed I haven’t been getting sick AS often since using this (also added some new supplements, so I don’t think I can contribute it to just the light).
The biggest downside is that the charge doesn’t last long (4 or five days for 15-30 min a day), but it comes with a charger so not a huge deal.

I bought this because i was having headaches. My pharmacist recommended it. I found the white to be too white and I kept seeing dots in front of my eyes and it didn’t do anything to stop my headaches so i return it.

After using an old 10,100 lux lamp with fluorescent tubes for many years, I decided it was time for an upgrade. This little lamp has beaten my expectations.
Pros:
– The “countdown timer” means this lamp can be used as a “sunrise simulator” type alarm clock, turning its bright light on in the morning to help you wake up. This lamp comes at a very good price to also have that functionality, even if the options of a 6, 7, or 8 hour countdown are somewhat limiting.
– It’s very bright for a battery-powered device.
– Being so small and lightweight, it’s easy to bring close to your face. I can hold it very close to my face without the weight of the device causing arm strain.
– It’s very portable and easy to travel with, unlike my old device. I used to need a “spot” to do my light therapy, wherever my lamp was plugged in. Now, my light therapy is portable. I can do it anywhere. I am excited to combine it with my new red light therapy belt, which is also battery powered, lightweight, portable, and cheap. Being “untethered” is very nice. Now when I travel, I can easily bring a sunrise simulator, 10,000 lux light therapy, and red+near infrared light therapy with me.
Cons:
– The kickstand is a little flimsy. If I want to set it somewhere, instead of just holding it, I might look for a tablet stand or something like that to protect the kickstand and have more positioning options. Ideally I’d set it somewhere above me, but very close to my face, angled down, and in landscape vs. portrait orientation. It’s only a minor gripe, as the built-in kickstand is still convenient, and it’s easy to just hold this unit up to your face.
– The total light output isn’t as much as my old plug-in lamp. I think this is made up for by being so much easier to get close to my eyes. It is still very bright, and I believe it is possible to get 10,000 lux from this lamp when close to your face.
TL;DR
Great battery-powered light therapy lamp. The “sunrise simulator” functionality makes it an amazing value. Lightweight, small, very portable, and convenient. I’m very happy with the upgrade from my old fluorescent-tube light therapy lamp.

This time of year, especially in Ohio, it seems that there is little to no sunshine. The skies are gray and dreary and it certainly can affect my mood. I depend on vitamin D to improve my attitude. Without the sun out to provide that much needed vitamin I rely on other methods. I actually hate taking pills so this light therapy lamp has been a great alternative to get the needed vitamin. It recreates natural sunlight by using LED lights. This in turn improves my mood. The lamp is simple to use.. There are 3 brightness levels and also 3 timing modes – 10, 20 and 30 minute timers. The lamp angle can be adjusted as you need. It’s lightweight, making it convenient to move from the office to my home in the bedroom, living area or to a hotel. There are no noises while it operates. I started using it once a week for 10 minute sessions and now use it 3 times a week for 30 minute sessions. I’m happy to be rid of the winter blues.

This light is super bright! I’m impressed. I had it on in the kitchen one even (it was already dark outside by 5PM) and found myself getting through a ton of batch cooking and clean up. Before I knew it, it was 9PM and I wasn’t even tired. I quickly realized it was this light. It doesn’t even have to be shining in your face. I think I had it a good four feet away and shining over my shoulder. Great value. Especially since it’s portable. I plan to use it to help me get moving in the morning. My only complaint is that it doesn’t tell you how much battery life it has left. A couple times I set it to stay on for 3 hours and it shut off after 45 minutes. I am guess because the battery is low. Although it did work for another 30 minutes when I turned it on again. I will give it a good overnight charge and see if that helps. Then report back. It has lots of features like a kick stand to stand it up or hang it. It’s not too big yet not too small. Doesn’t take up a lot of space like other ones I have. Perfect for someone that doesn’t have a lot of counter or desk space. It also has different brightness levels that allow you to switch between hella bright to super nova. There are three timer settings as well. I would suggest using them so that you don’t forget and leave it on when you leave for work (wasting the battery). For the price point of $20 this is definitely worth it. I spent much more on happy lights that were clunky, not as bright, took up too much space and had to be plugged in. I never knew how much difference light could make until I bought one of these. It’s subtle. It’s not like you turn it on and instantly your awake like you had a shot of expresso, but after a good several minutes of going about your business with the light shining on you, you begin noticing you are getting things done on the “to do” list, and feeling a little lighter. They have others with alarms that the light gradually gets bright but I find this is easier, and more convenient.

This light feels like it’s good quality due to the weight. I will update if anything changes, but it’s been charging for few hours so I’ve got a good feeling about the 5000mAh lasting a while. The light is very bright as well. I’m eager to wake up tomorrow with the sunrise function / timer feature. Light does not seem to flicker either and no noise from the light when on.

When I saw this light, I told my son I have some good idea to wake him up in the morning for his school day. He is a deep sleeper, every morning his alarm can wake me up, I can hear his alarm continually from my room but not him, even that loud still cannot wake him up. This light is a game changer, he tried for a month now and works great, you can set up for 6H, 7H, 8H when you turn this light on, and they are super-duper bright that can easily wake a deep sleeper up(at least works for my son). A USB charging that you can leave it on.

I’m not sure if this will actually help with SAD, since I often don’t suffer from it. I really like that it has a battery instead of being plugged in to use. Wanted this to help with getting “morning” light shortly after waking up. The timer is useful. I place it on my treadmill stand while doing my morning exercises.
