I purchased this light box to compensate in the morning for the fact that my window is completely sealed off with acoustic foam, so it’s dark as pitch in my bedroom when the lights are off. I wanted to see if turning it on in the morning would help my body understand quicker that it’s daylight out. However, it just arrived today and I’m already planning to send it back.
I feel like the user interface on this was not well thought out. The buttons are on the front and are perfectly smooth and flat. There’s no way to tell using just the sense of touch what you’re touching or if you’re even touching a button at all. You have to be looking at the interface to operate it by sight instead of touch, as well as to view what setting the timer is set for. But it’s a blindingly bright light box, so looking at it hurts.
I have to find an object big enough to cover most of the lighted area in order to look at the interface. I can’t adjust the brightness or settings without looking at the interface while the light is turned on. It’s an extremely irritating feature, and makes me not want to use it. I can’t imagine fumbling with that thing in the morning when I’m just waking up.
I can’t be the only one having this issue, and find it strange that I didn’t see any reviews talking about this. Maybe there were some that I missed. Anyway, I don’t recommend this product, based on that specific issue. I can’t speak to anything else about it. It’s definitely BRIGHT. I’ve never had one of these before so I have no frame of reference to compare it to. I hope others have better interfaces that you don’t have to blind yourself to operate.

I like this light a lot, it’s does the job and the shape and size is perfect for travel. Only issues I have are that the button for the timer is veeerry inconsistent and sometimes won’t work at all and I have to use a phone timer which is nbd. The second is that bc of it’s shape, it’s a little wobbly and sometimes the positioning of the power cord will thrown off it’s balance and topple it

I first bought this product a bit over a year ago. It was great then and it’s great now. I do my light therapy either at home or at work, so I need two lights. I was getting frustrated with my second light that I bought elsewhere, so I came back and bought this one again. It’s a great light. The controls are simple, the light is very bright, the design is sleek and looks good on my desk. My only irritation is that I keep forgetting that it remembers your last brightness selection and frequently hit the on button twice, which means it turns off and I have to start over cycling through the brightness settings. I also wish it had an indicator as to how far you are in your timer (I once had one that showed you that you’re past the halfway mark). Overall, a great find.

I am testing a batch of light therapy products I purchased.
I tested this in a pitch dark room, with an MT-912 light meter – at exactly 12”, 24”, and 36” distance. In real world terms those distances are right in your face, darn close, and arms length.
.
This product appears to be well packaged, made with a quality feel and assembly, and includes a plug with a quality USB cord.
The light itself has a carrying (and for lack of a better word) clear quality to it. Must be something in the wavelength but testing that on an oscilloscope exceeds what is practical for me.
That being said, the value of this compared to a Suxio at half the price, is several orders of magnitude greater. The light is refreshing, feels good, and is not agitating. Even if it were the same lux I’d choose this at twice the price. Something about the light waves.
Measurements:
12” distance (super close) = 2533 lux
24” distance (still close) = 648 lux
36” distance (reasonable to sit by) = 345 lux
It read 10200 lux at 6.5” distance.

This light is quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be, so I was a little worried at first. I haven’t had it very long, but so far it’s working great. The biggest thing I’m noticing is that my sleep is so much better. I would say this has really cured my insomnia. I fall asleep faster at night, and even if I have to wake up and use the bathroom, it’s easy to fall back to sleep. I wake up after 8-9 hours feeling refreshed. The first thing I do when I get up is turn on my light therapy box. I only use it for around 15 minutes on its brightest setting. I have no desire to use this for longer than 15 minutes because so far, it’s working great. When I was doing research before I bought it, it said to be careful how long its used as it can cause headaches and eye strain. That’s why I decided to start out at a lower time and gradually increase it. Hopefully this lasts a good long while. It does seem flimsy, but hopefully it’s sturdier than it looks.

For years I have suffered through the winters. The lack of sunshine and decent temps just makes me sad. I’ve read about light therapy for years and decided to give this one a try. It sits on my desk just above my monitors, so it’s always shining in my face. I turn it on when I sit down to work and off when I am done for the day. I really feel like it has had a profound effect on my overall mood. I am happy throughout the day and don’t feel the longing for the sunshine that’s been missing. Our southern winters can be quite gloomy and I really feel like this lamp has helped me tremendously! It has three light/dim settings and a timer. It doesn’t take up much room either. Love it!

I bought this light to help with the lack of sunlight in the winter. I used it in my bedroom as I was getting ready and also used one in my kitchen while I have breakfast. It really brightens the space I am in and it’s bright and a nice warm light. Highly recommend! Hopefully it will combat some symptoms of seasonal depression this coming winter!
