There is not much padding. The fabric is slightly thicker than a normal fitted sheet. If you think you are getting a mattress pad that is heated… Well, not quite.
It is well constructed. Thoughtful extra reinforcement around where the wires poke through. The connectors are located at the corners and don’t get in the way. The wires are long enough to set it up in either direction. 2 separate controllers for individualized settings on the king size. The controllers memorize the last settings so you only need to push the one button before going to bed at night. This is helpful since there is not a built-in clock to have it turned on automatically and it also doesn’t have a pre-heat function that I read about on other choices. Overall pretty happy with the purchase.

Our old heated mattress pad died so this is its replacement.
This sucker warms up FAST and gets HOT. We have both sides set on 1 and usually have to turn it off during the night. Of course if you’re in the Yukon, you might need more heat.
Each side has its own independent cord and controls. By independent cord, I mean each side has a cord that plugs in on the left or right side of the bottom of the mattress pad, not center, so there are two cords. And of course each side has its own control. The cords from the bottom up to the head of the bed/wall plugs are long enough, but the cords to the bedside tables are too short and the controls fall off the tables. Hence, I got some sticky packing tape and taped the cords to the tables. Not elegant but I don’t expect to have any refined guests commenting on my mattress pad.
It would be really nice if the controls lit up continuously rather than going dark a few seconds after turning it on.
We love this. So much better than an electric blanket.

I love this. The control lets you set the temperature and the time. I set it to 2 for both and the bed is warm but not too hot. Your body and the blanket hold the heat in all night.

Works well, fits as expected, good ranges of heat & time – cords are bulky but expected I guess.
Dan Corti –
Normally only need setting at 1 or 2. Seems odd the plug is at the foot end but the cord is more than long enough to reach the head end for the controller. So far seems great.

Fits well and heated up quickly. Very comfortable to sleep on – no wires were found.

display light goes off after you turn on and hard to see but heats quickly

It’s simple and wonderful. It does its job.
