I presume this was supposed to have had the usual “envelope” closing mechanism, but when someone was copying the design from a proper product, they missed the fact, that an envelope closing mechanism has one of the folded inner sides NOT sewn shut. And so this pillowcase has both sides of the folded part sewn shut. Clearly a copy-paste product, that never went through any acceptance period, before going in full production, otherwise someone would have noticed that ..
That is the only fault though – I am fine with the material and quality, and the low cost makes it pointless for me to be sending it back, to get a proper pillowcase with an actual working closing mechanism ..

I travel for work and stay in Marriott Hotels and Renaissance Hotels which are infamous for their bedding and sheets that have a ridiculously nice feel. I would say these sheets are extremely comparable for a fraction of the price and they hold up exceptionally well to washing and drying. I was VERY hesitant to purchase these since they are microfiber and I have a bad history with microfiber sheets “pilling” and stopping getting anywhere near comfortable to sleep on. These sheets do NOT do that! I would VERY much like to see a boxed set that has 4 king sized pillowcases inside it instead of just the 2. I always use 4 pillows with my king sized bed instead of just 2, especially if you want to read, watch TV, etc. Right now I am forced to purchase the 2 extra pillowcases separately but it’s totally worth it and the price is right. The box the set comes in seems so small but they fit the whole set in there somehow! I like that the sheets are lightweight, which makes them perfect for the summer or for when people naturally like cooler and more breathable sheets (like me!). As far as the fit, I would say it’s better than I thought it would have been for this set. The color is a true pure white and they don’t get wrinkly looking like other sheets. I hope this helps and you like them as much as I do!!

For the price, these are a great quick fix. I had an itch to completely reset our bedding and purchased these almost a year ago. Initially, they were silky and soft and fit/wore really well. A couple months in, we started to see tons of pilling, thread pulling (the cat sleeps with us but we don’t usually experience this, and she prefers kneading on us and not the bedding), along with skin care bleaching and sunless tan staining. My husband is a mechanic – if you get it, it’s not gross… but blood stains from cuts on his hands, arms and elbows just won’t wash away like they have in other sheets that we’ve owned.
Could have been user error for ordering cream colored sheets with our lifestyles. I’ve owned several sets of white/cream sheets in the past and haven’t noticed quite as terrible of an outcome. These might be better for a guest bedroom that isn’t used much. Or if you need a quick bedding fix, they work but plan on replacing within a couple of months!

These are nice, basic pillow cases and an excellent value. I have always preferred 100% cotton pillow cases, but in recently, I purchased microfiber and have been pleasantly surprised by the softness and durability. They also launder well and are lightweight and a good choice for hot weather or those who may tend to sleep hot. You can’t beat these in terms of value for the price. These pillow cases are inexpensive enough to purchase extras for exclusive use in covering small dog beds/pillows so that we don’t have to wash the entire dog bed, and I throw one in my suitcase when we travel to use with dirty laundry.
