I wasn’t sure this was going to work for me, but I tried it. It arrived in a pretty large box, but it wasn’t too heavy to move up stairs, it was pretty easy to unpack and lay out on the bed. I definitely let it lay out for at least 24 hours maybe even 36 if I can remember right. The foam part inflated a little bit after it was put on, then the white topping seemed a bit baggy, but it was ok because it fit great over my deep mattress with the topper. I am overall impressed. It’s extremely comfortable. It’s like sleeping in a cloud! It helps my nerve pain in my legs. I am just curious as to how long the foam with hold up. Overall it was a great price for the king size mattress topper, and I will hopefully be buying another one for another bed that we own.

I have waited 5 months to leave a review. I wanted to make sure that all the bad reviews I read here were real or false. I have degenerative disc disease so I couldn’t sleep in my bed with my husband anymore. I was sleeping in a recliner in the living room. I sell on eBay so I had an eBay room. With much discussion with my husband, we cleaned out my eBay room got me a hospital bed off of Facebook Marketplace and I finally ordered this mattress topper. Now it is important to tell you that I spent months researching mattress toppers. I read the good reviews and the bad. If I saw a common thread in the bad reviews then I didn’t even think about going with that topper. Then I saw the video that Arzante posted with his 5-star review. I took a second look at this topper again. It was now at the top of my list. I received the topper a few days before my room was ready. So I was able to lay it out for a few days prior to sleeping on it. One thing I saw in several reviews on a lot of toppers was that there was a horrible chemical smell. Mine had no odor at all. That was the first thing I did when we got it opened was to take a big sniff and I didn’t smell anything bad.
I am a woman in my early 50s and I have horrible hot flashes. I also weigh over 250 pounds. I think it is important for you to know this for the second part of my review. I have read a lot of reviews complaining of the foam making them hot during the night or the foam flattened when used. This is why I wanted to wait 5 months to leave my review. I wanted to make sure I gave YOU accurate information. August in Iowa is unpleasant to begin with, but when you throw hot flashes into the mix it can be downright miserable. My wonderful husband put in a ceiling fan and a window air conditioner in my room. Along with an atomic clock that tells me the temperature in the room and what it is outside. I didn’t have much trouble with being hot when sleeping with the topper. I was even using cotton sheets. Now it is Winter in Iowa. There are a few things I have figured out during my 5 months with my topper. Tencel or bamboo sheets are a must-have for those who run hot when they sleep. After the window air conditioner was taken out I did start waking up hot and had to uncover for a while. I am still using the ceiling fan and it helps. This is where the atomic clock comes in. I have also closed the vent in my room to our boiler so I get very little heat in my room. I prefer to go to bed when my room is at around 65 degrees. At times I wake up and my room is 71 – 73 degrees. Most days it is 69 degrees. With a room that cool and bamboo sheets I get chilled when I go to bed, but within minutes I am warmed up and perfectly comfortable.
These are some of the things that I do to make sure my foam topper stays in good condition. At least once a month we strip the bed and flip the topper and make sure that what was at my feet is now at my head and the top is now the bottom. The topper is inspected for creases, rips, or tears. I have yet to find one. We also switch the hospital mattress from foot to head and vice versa. One of the things I was worried about using a foam topper was using an adjustable hospital bed. My head and feet are raised. What is this doing to the foam topper? Nothing. It is perfectly fine. This is important to know. When you wash the padded mattress cover DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER!!! Let it air dry. We read the instructions and dried it on low and it seems to have shrunk a little bit. In width not in length. It is about an inch narrower on both sides now. This isn’t a huge deal, I don’t sleep on the edge of the bed. Also, twin XL sheets are not going to fit perfectly on this bed. We got straps that make the sheets tighter. Deep pocket sheets are not your friend with a hospital bed.
This is my take on this topper. It is comfortable. I do feel like I am being cradled when sleeping. I don’t move much in my sleep as it is a twin bed and when it is adjusted it is hard to sleep on your side unless you flatten the bed more. My back and hip pain has diminished. It will never go away fully, but I don’t have to wrap a heating pad around my lower back for an hour after getting up just to be able to move. This is not a firm topper, nor is it is super soft. I guess for me I am Goldilocks and I found the one that is just right. At the end of the day, it is about your preference. This is perfect for me and if I ever need to replace this topper I will be buying this same one again.

Not firm at all but it does bounce back well. Definitely would have preferred a firmer piece of foam. I’ve also had this mattress in open air for 2 weeks and it still smells. I will give it one more week otherwise I will return it.

Since our king size memory foam topper was several year old, I was in the market for a new one. I decided to cut down the old one into a TwnXL so our college student could use it for their dorm bed. The last one I purchased from Costco, but they discontinued that brand and style. I looked at their new one which was a Tempur Pedic, but I wasn’t yet sold on purchasing that one. I worked at Macy’s for over 8 years overseeing products in the home categories. Visco branded merchandise was our top selling memory foam toppers and pillows both in-store and online. I was happy to see the Visco listed on Amazon. After looking through the different styles, I landed on this one. I was drawn to this one because of the padded mattress topper pad that covers the 2” memory foam pad. I’ve always loved sleeping on the bed at the Four Seasons hotel because of the lofty mattress topper. After reading the reviews I pulled trigger.
The box arrived earlier than expected which was a plus! I read reviews online that people complained about tearing their memory foam during setup. I kept this in mind during the unboxing. The box is large and heavy, mine was a king size. The padded topper can packaged in it’s own separate zipper storage bag. This was nice in the event you wanted to store it away, you had something to repack it in. The memory foam pad itself was tightly rolled up the a roll bound and held tightly by an fiber wrap. Use extra care when removing that fiber wrap off the foam roll. I used a scissors, but you could easily accidentally cut into the pad of your not careful! Once the wrapper was cut off and removed, I just stepped back and let magic happen by itself. The roll unrolled itself since it wasn’t confined anymore. Within 2 minutes the roll looked like a long stick of gum, but it was still somewhat folded. I carefully began to unfold the roll doing a little at a time. Within 5 minutes the king size memory foam pad was flat on top of my mattress. No tears or rips. It was also very easy to reposition on my bed and wasn’t too heavy that requires someone else to help out. I let the foam sit for the next hour to further expand before I put on the fabric padded topper on top of it.
Unlike other brands, Visco has no smell!!!! You can sleep on it right away. Some other brands leave a horrendous toxic smell behind. This is not the case with their product!!!!! The fabric padded topper is made of nice quality fabric. The elastic is wide and generous around the perimeter. In each corner their is even wide elastic corner straps to further secure the memory foam topper on the corner of your mattress. I found this wasn’t necessary for me to secure. I tried it at first but noticed it pressed down really deep into the foam topper and I was worried it would tear. I found that without using that additional strap was necessary. The pad doesn’t slide, and the fitted elastic fabric mattress topper fits fine and secures nicely around your mattress. Unlike fitted sheets that you battle securing a corner or two on your mattress, this wasn’t the case here. I have a pillow top mattress to begin with, so I even with this memory topper and fabric topper on top of it, I had more than enough fabric to tuck under the side of the mattress without losing a finger nail, lol.
I overslept the first two nights I slept on it and love the way my bed feels now. I dread rolling out of bed. My bed sleeps like a luxury hotel bed now. Best purchase made in a really long time!!!!
