After being read a story about steps to getting good sleep, she follows the steps of sleep hygiene and reaps the beneficial consequences of making sure she gets a good nights sleep. This is the second book I read of this series and I loved it just as much as the one before! I don’t think it’s just a children’s book but also a great choice for parents who struggle putting their kids to bed. I liked how there’s sort of like a science background if you really think about it in the story.

I loved how the book’s stunning illustrations complement the story beautifully. Each page is adorned with vibrant colors and lovely details.

Teaching kids a good bedtime routine is so important, that hopefully they carry it on as they grow. This book is definitely an indispensable addition to any bedtime repertoire.

This is a cute little story that any young child can understand. But as a parent, it is very insightful and helpful. There are sleep principles weaved throughout the story to help kids understand the importance of sleep and how to sleep better. Little Naomi has trouble with going to sleep until her grandfather reads her a story about sleep. In the story, Naomi learns about the eight gems of sleep. Things like how sleep helps the mind and how watching something on a screen makes it harder to fall asleep are some of the lessons mentioned in the book. I really think any child will learn a lot from the story, and I appreciate that it is all backed by science.

This has been a very real situation in our house. My daughter is terrified of the dark and going to sleep. This book has helped us create a sleep routine for her. So far, her new routine is working.
