Update 2023*****
It is now October 2023. Almost 4 years since purchasing my king mattress. The mattress has started to give out. Back pain while waking up, dips from where we sleep. I knew it was an inexpensive purchase and wouldn’t last like a 10 year mattress would. So here to say I got 4 great sleep years with it and on to the next one!
Ok so let me start by saying I did more research on what mattress to purchase than I ever did with ANYTHING school related. I researched mattresses for about a month and had more than 20 in my cart until I finally narrowed it down to this one. I am SO happy I went with my gut and bought this.
This was 100% within my price range. I mean a queen for $200? Yes please. Amazon offers the best discount for this specific mattress than any other website even on “Black Friday” and “fourth of July” sales, etc. Delivery was quick, 2 days and came in the form of “bed in a box.” However, I can usually pick up, assemble and throw out all my furniture and big box purchases but this was HEAVY. Be careful if going upstairs and grab some help women! I’m all about being independent but this just wasn’t working lol.
After taking it out of the box, it took minutes even seconds to take its form but I allowed 24 hours for it to completely regain its shape. I will say even over the next 2/3 days it was still expanding little by little. The mattress itself is perfect for me and my boyfriend. It’s firm enough where we don’t wake up in pain yet so so so soft and cushion-y. I’ve never owned a better mattress and it’s a quarter of the price of others I’ve had.
We’ve now had it about 3 months and there is no sinking in on either side, so far so good. There are always going to be bad reviews and not every mattress works for everyone. But taking the price into consideration, I would tell you to give it a try and take the risk because if you haven’t caught on by now I’m happy we did! I will now always buy my mattresses online!

Conflicted by all the reviews declaring this mattress to be too soft or too firm? I was, too. But now that I’ve ordered one, let me help you understand if this mattress is for you.
First of all, this review is for the 10″ mattress. If you live near an Ashley furniture store, many have the 12″ version on display so you can test it yourself. Note that I do not recommend you buy a 10″ or thinner mattress – you should only do so if you have to do it. In our case, I installed a murphy wall bed system and those usually accommodate a maximum mattress thickness of 10″. If you are going to be sleeping on this mattress every day, get a thicker mattress.
Now for the big question – how firm is this? My wife and I have purchased multiple “regular” style mattresses over the years, often a Simmons or Sealy or Beautyrest. We prefer a medium firm mattress. On a scale of one to ten, with ten being rock hard (think a sleep number bed set to 100), I would rate a medium firm at about a 6 to 7. Our current mattress is a medium firm hybrid-style Beautyrest with the pocketed coils inside…and I’d rate it about a 6.5 in firmness.
The 10″ Chime has about the same level of firmness as my Beutyrest but without all the extra inches of padding on top. Without the extra inches of padding, the medium-firm coils feel firmer. You are sleeping closer to the coils. So if my medium firm Beautyrest is a 6.5, the 10″ Chime feels more like a 7. So if you read a review that the mattress is too soft, I believe the reviewer is sleeping on a very firm mattress (closer to a 10, or a sleepnumber bed inflated to the max). The lack of padding on the 10″ means the bed is going to feel slightly firmer than if it had an extra 2-5 inches of padding on top.
I hope this helps a bit – I wish there was a more standardized way of measuring and communicating mattress firmness, but all we have are these reviews. Thanks for reading!

I was worried about buying a mattress in a box but this is a great mattress, very comfortable to sleep on. We opened it up and laid it on the bed to fluff up… it does seem to be a bit short of the bed, but very comfortable to sleep on.
Very beautiful but thin –
I’ve been sleeping on it for a month now and find it very comfortable. Overall, it offers great value for the price. However, there is an issue I’m unsure about. The mattress doesn’t match the size of my queen bed frame perfectly; it is slightly smaller. This isn’t a major problem, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

I bought two of these mattresses In a queen size. They were for my kids. My mattress had not come in yet so I slept on it for about a week. Mattress is Medium firm I would say.
Mattress arrived, rolled, and is quite heavy in the box. Once taken out of the box, you unroll a lot of plastic, holding it together. After that, it is in a vacuum sealed bag. I cut the bag far enough away from the mattress to not worry about Harming it. After that last layer of plastic was off, the mattress itself expanded very quickly. Luckily, I was able to leave it to expand and not need to sleep on it immediately. I did lift each corner and kind of bang on it to make sure they expanded all the way and adjusted the fabric where I needed to. Overall I’m really impressed. I’m sure both of my kids will sleep soundly on this bed.
